The 550/575 is one of my favorite modern Ferraris. Looks great and drives great. Im sure you didnt like to see it go but I admire the fact that you let it go because you didnt have the time to drive it and all the cars you got are meant to be driven. It would be a shame to let them sit and collect dust. Your new Turbo looks amazing in that color, it is definitely a fair trade off for the 575.

Hey blackenzo, I'd love to but it's really too early 2 ways. First, I only got the Green Murci, aka 'HULKSTR' in February of this year. Trading or selling it now would be an invitation for a severe ass kicking financially. :slap: Secondly, I'm always concerned about buying a car 'hot off the press' if you know what I mean. I'd like to wait until the Winter or Spring of 2007-2008 to make the switch and to make sure any 'bugs' are worked out. Michael

I saw Magwheel's new addition. It was the car I wanted next- a black Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Guess after unloading one of his Ferrari's, he had some spare change! Tired of Range Rover's, huh? It's still lookin' good in this neigborhood!

OMG..... She knows how to post on her own. DONNASWORLD, aka my EX is straight up and legit although a little wacked! She's like Poltergeist and the Exorcist all rolled into one. No matter where I go or what I do, she knows! And just think...... I'm the one who taught her how to use the computer.

The reason I got the C Turbo S was because I gave my 05 RR Westminster to my ex (the sweet little thing she is) until the new 07s come out in October (?). Her lease was up and I didn't want to hear her keep bitching :bad-words: because my girlfriend had a newer RR than her so I told her to drive mine until the 07s appear.

Then I thought.... hey.... since the girlfriend is going to get a new RR in November and my lease is up in December, I probably should get something different and a little more fun.

The RR is a fantastic car and if I only had one SUV, there would have been NO way I would have chosen the Cayenne over the RR...... Cayenne Turbo S or not!

About the Maranello..... Sorry, but I dun dood it! I sold the 04 Ferrari 575 Maranello on August 29th. Just had too many cars and not enough asses! I would try and rotate the cars in order so that they all got equal road time and exercise. But I wouldn't drive any of them in the rain so it seemed they were on Battery Tenders a whole lot and it just seemed stupid to try and keep them all. I loved the Maranello but I just got the new Porsche 997 Turbo and it's a little more fun to drive and obviously a lot faster. Hated to see the 575 go because she was a beauty and ALWAYS turned heads and got comments on being the most 'classy' sports car they had ever seen!

I may decide to possibly sell the F430 next Spring or Summer and get a 599 but only after I hear some readers reviews. Sure will hate to pay the extortionist premium the dealers will be asking!! I hope not too many of you are pissed off at me for parting with the Maranello. I apologize!

Give the EX a break..... I know she'd like to give me one...... a broken neck! Even though she hates me..... I still watch over her and TAKE REAL GOOD care of her.

I'll be posting some pics of the Cayenne Turbo S and the CGT and the 997 Turbo in a line-up soon. I have a pretty neat layout in my mind that will be cool. Magwheel

hmm not bad .....

cant wait for the pics .... realy sad to hear about the 575 ..... hope its in good hands ...

imo the 599 just isnt as appealing as the rest of the ferrari's .. mainly because its not front engined and looks a bit awkward :? ... maybe its just me ....

you should get a taste of the zonda and the Koenigsegg ..... some of the rare stuff ... if you ever want a newer lambo ... you could always get rid of the ones you got and go for the Lp640 ;) .. :) ....

Magwheel, you are still the man! Only I would reconsider selling the F430 for a 599. I love the 430 to death so maybe i'm a little on the biased side, but i think that is a more true Ferrari. And you will probobly get raped on the price. But if you want something to replace the 575 the 599 would be the obvious choice.

P.S. I really appreciate you sharing your awesome car collection with us car freaks 8)

are you talking about the hate for our Collector member's sale of a car he couldn't find enough time to drive? and/or the fact that mr. Saadie doesn't know a front-engine rear drive car if it ran over him?

Why you all cock ridding?

the F430 is nice, definately.... in fact, its a really GREAT car. But; its' novelty wears off pretty quick in the company of other exotics, performance cars, and Ferrari's.... It is the new starbucks car. :(

I'm sure some member reviews of the 599 will be forthcoming here over the next.... hmm.... 6 months at the most ;)

Hi TT, Good to hear from you. Haven't talked to you or Jabba in a long time. Thanks for merging the subjects. Hey.... tell the EX is she starts picking on me for any reason, you'll ban her butt cause we're good friends and you're not going to allow her to beat me up. She's always picking on me! :prr:

How about her..... I get her a new Range Rover every 2 years and she's still bitching :bad-words: and POd at me. She says she wants a Maserati Quattroporte instead of a RR because I got the Cayenne Tuirbo S and that's what she wanted. Uhhhh wake up call my 'sweet petunia'. We live in Northeastern Ohio where every December thru March we get this funny white stuff all over the ground. How the hell are you going to get around in a Maserati in the snow? I just know what she would say. "Why honey, just buy me a small, cheap SUV too." :wanker:

BTW Jabba and TT...... Since March 18th, 61,188 hits as of 2 minutes ago and still going (I feel like a Timex watch or even the Energizer bunny). Not bad for someone who's ass you canned early on for potentially being a fraud. Thanks for introducing me to all these people and I hope I haven't disappointed anyone with any of my posts.

Hopefully, in the next couple of days, the sun will appear here in Ohio and I can get some shots of the new Cayenne Turbo S and even the shot of the 3 Porsches lined up. Take care TT. Michael

One of the best threads ever! Thank you for sharing these stories with us. I hadn't noticed this thread earlier but now when I did I read it thru in a day.

Great collection :good:

It's absolutely amazing how you are willing to share all of this with us and write these long stories. It's something you don't see everyday. And (although you get this a lot) I have to say that the politeness that one can notice from your posts is truly great. Again something that you don't encounter too often :D

Keep buying those cars so we can read about them :D :D

OH Damn!........
NEWS FLASH!! :faint: I just sold both of my Lamborghinis on Friday. Too many cars! The Gallardo was 1 year old this month and I only had 970 miles on her. I bought the Murcielago in February of this year and she only had 450 miles on her speedo. Yeah... yeah.... I know! :wanker:

BUT.... just this past Tuesday, I did buy a 2007 SL550 in Pewter with a light cream interior. Ironically, I had just gone to the dealer to see the SLR they have had there since February, the one I took for a test ride, and they said that they had just dealer traded it to a San Diego dealership. :wall: Bummed out..... but then I saw the SL550 sitting there and fell in love  with her immediately! Went home and got the girlfriend and we went back and I signed the papers and brought her home that same day. I'm sure I'll put a lot more miles on her compared to the Lambos. I loved the Lambos too but to let them just 'kinda' sit in the garage on Battery Tenders and hardly drive them is asinine, ridiculous, absurd and brainless!.

Since I had a little 'moolah' left over from the sale..... I also bought a 2007 Mercedes S550 in Iridium Silver with black leather interior and the AMG Sport Package. She'll be here on Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week. It will be nice to have a couple of cars I can take out every day of the year and not worry about rain or snow or being paranoid about parking them somewhere where they might be vulerable to door bangers or jealous idiots!

Sorry about the Lambos guys but it was necessary and the right thing to do. :bad-words: Please don't hate my ass for selling them! Mags

Erez, my fellow MOT, Yeah... it was a bummer to see the Lambos go :faint: but so far the SL550 is really an enjoyment to drive. It''s so nice to have a car I can take out all the time... even if it might rain that day without freaking out over it. The S550 should be here Tuesday or Wednesday and it will be a riot driving that machine with all its gadgets. It has the Night View Assist which allows you to see 500 feet up the road at night via infrared :ninja:, Distronic Plus Cruise Control which keeps you a certain distance behind the car ahead of you and it also has the AMG Sport Package which is the wheels and tires and some lower spoilers plus some other goodies!

I was going to take pictures of the 3 Porsches together today but the sun is so low, I'm getting too many shadows to provide a good picture. I'll figure something out and hopefully get the pictures online soon. Magwheel :hello:

Hi MIHALS, Thanks for understanding my predicament. It's nice to be able to have all those cars but what good is it if you don't drive them. Please don't hate my ass for selling them!

I am of the belief that cars should be driven and not kept garaged. And by driven, really driven on highways and the like. If you don't drive them, no point keeping them and having them depreciate needlessly.

The Mercedes is a good addition. I like the shape of the SL and it seems like a great car to drive on a day-to-day basis.

Well..... I picked up the Mercedes S550 on Tuesday. Jeez.... what a car! 8) I got lucky and found one in Iridiium Silver with all the gadgets I was hoping to get. Distronic Plus, Night View Assist, Panorama Roof, the AMG Sport Package and lots of other stuff.

Had her out last night and was able to use the Night View Assist. :black: Ummmm, I think the jury is still out on this one. Ohh.... yeah, it shows everything in front of you and like they say, even farther ahead than your low beams BUT..... you have to look down where the speedometer is to see the road ahead. It's kind of tough to look down to see the screen when you have this learned 'bad habit' of keeping your eyes on the road so you don't crash the car or run over anything! The view is excellent except it's hard to keep watching the screen because of where it's at. I've heard that the Heads-Up System display is easier to watch because it's on the windshield area but it isn't anywhere near as clear as view as the Night View Assist System.

Now the Distronic Plus is something else! You set it and it drives the car for you (speed wise that is). If you come upon another car in front of you, it slows you down automatically! Then it speeds up if he does or if you go to pass, it resumes to your preset speed.

The Panorama Roof really sets the car off from the outside. The car being silver and the roof glass all black, the color combination is absolutely stunning. Add in the AMG Sport Package with its wheels and tires, the front mesh grille and rear lower spoiler and the rocker panel accents, it makes the car the cat's ass!

I'm going to try and post some pics of the SL550 and the S500 together this afternoon or evening. I looked outside and there's this thing in the sky that's real bright and shiny.... I think they call it the SUN..... :faint: so it should be a nice afternoon to take some decent pictures.

As the TERMINATOR once said..... "I'll Be Back"! Magwheel

Everybody should thank mags yet again, as some of us know how much work it really is to go set up the cars for photos, clean them, set them up some more, dump the photos on pc, resize them, and finally upload them; which I greatfully do for our good friend in Ohio (down with Ohio State tomarrow! ;) )

Nice teddy bear. Even better car. Congratulations on your new purchase.
Thanks Mattk, Yeah the Teddies give me someone to talk to when I'm POd :bad-words: at the girlfriend. I'm really enjoying the cars. We had the 'S' out last night and went to a wine taste at the Country Club. The couple we went with loved the car. The 'Jury' is still out on the 'Night Vision Assist' though. :robot: It's hard to watch and keep yours eyes on the road... normally. Maybe if I was a video game expert it wouldn't bother me so much! But it is a neat conversation piece. Makes you feel like Superman with X-Ray vision. It will be interesting to see how good it works in the fog or a heavy snowstorm.

Isn't this trick as heck..... I'm here in Ohio of the United States and I'm conversing with someone in Sydney, Australia! The best part is it's FREE! I like Free stuff!

P.S. The girlfriend just got her new 07 Range Rover this afternoon. She got it in Zermatt Silver Metallic. Absolutely beautiful color. I was gonna get an 07 Range Rover too but then decided on the Cayenne Turbo S. A lot more fun and faster than hell! :2gunfire: It didn't make sense to have two Rovers in the same garage. Take care everyone. Magwheel

Hi Erez, Sorry for the late reply. So far as far as I've been able to tell, the Night View Assist is just a novelty (albeit a really neat one). There is no way, and I'm speaking for myself..., that I feel it would be useful for me. It really does show you everything in front of you but it's just too dang hard to watch it. Plus it doesn't give you the peripheral vision the human eyes and brain do. But.... i may change my mind a little after a fog or heavy snow. I know in the rain, it's even worse because fo the reflection off of other cars and especially from street and freeway lights!

The Cayenne Turbo S is just a blast to drive. It's so damn fast it's ridiculous! :shocked!: I had it up to an easy 107-110 the other day with the girlfriend in the car. Never knew I was there until I looked at the speedo! I don't want to spill the beans too much about her until I can take some neat pictures and then I'll do a complete review for you guys.

Would you believe I haven't even been in the Range Rover for a short ride yet? The girlfriend loves it and it now has Bluetooth capabilities and Sirius Radio. I guess with my new rides, the Mercedes and the Turbo S, I have my hands full deciding what I want to drive of my own cars. Yes..... I promise some really great pics of the Turbo S in the snow and hopefully in other backrounds.

Hope all is well with you and thanks for saying hello. Michael

It would an an extra touch of class, and there is nothing that reaches the thrill of driving a fast classic far. :D

Hi Michael, No prob ;) I'm not too fast myself.. its hard to see all thats new on JW with so much activity..
Maybe one day we'll get the Night View Assist as we all dream of.. at a click of a button (or maybe voice activated ;) )
the front screen view will change into one of few modes.. normal, Night View Assist, infra-red and who knows what else ;)
man that would be cool 8)
hopefully with the current tech it will be of some assistance in fog or snow, tho i guess it will be hard to get used to
using it, but all new things are in a way I guess..

I will be waiting for The Cayenne review for sure, as much as some people find it ugly (I don't..) its one bad ass SUV, and
its hard to think of a better one (on the road that is..) let alone a faster one
my only prob with it, is Porsche making an SUV still feels like a saleout.. but I guess they had to, and as long as it keeps
them in business I guess thats a good thing, as I LOVE Porsches 8)

I actually would believe you haven't had time for the Range.. you are a man with a hard decision to make each morning,
which is again, a very good thing 8)
Bluetooth capability in the car sounds great! if they only made the iPod (or Zune) with Bluetooth! but I'm sure thats coming
as well, the Turbo S in the snow sounds like a great shoot, I'm sure the pics will turnout great!

All is pretty well, (seen better days but worse as well.. ;) )
I'll always have the time to say hello, especially to a fellow MOT ;) :good:
Best regards :good:

It would an an extra touch of class, and there is nothing that reaches the thrill of driving a fast classic far.

With such a broad range of high-performance automobiles in his stable, I don't think he needs any more to satiate his hunger for speed. :P Also, classic cars are pretty high maintenance, so it's hard to drive them the way they should be driven, and I'm sure we'd all agree that sports cars are meant to be driven fast.

The Cayenne Turbo S seems more fun than it looks. Not a car I'd buy, but driving it seems like a blast. I'm glad you're having fun with your cars.

What started out as a nice Thanksgiving day, turned real sad after we got home from my girlfriend's brother's home. :( My German Shepherd-Husky mix dog, Toby, passed away that afternoon. My girlfriend found him laying on the foyer tile floor, one of his favorite spots, when she walked into the house. I had adopted him from my next door neighbor in July of 2004 after he had been bitten by a tick and was temporarily paralyzed. Before I adopted him, Toby had been an outside dog 365 days a year no matter what the weather was like. :x When I befriended Toby in December of 2003, I had begun taking him hamburgers and chicken strips to eat and straw to keep him warm during the cold Winter when I saw his situation. After he was bit by the tick in the Summer of 2004, it took him 3 weeks at the Vets to recover and I then begged and pleaded with my next door neighbor to let me take him home with us where he could live inside my house with our other 4 dogs (3 Labrador Retrievers and a little Boxer). She accepted my offer knowing how much I love animals :D and that anytime she wanted, she could just walk down our drive and visit with him.

He slept as first in the laundry room (for only a few days) and then we wanted him to start sleeping in the master bedroom with all of us. :D Toby was unbelievable. He only had a few accidents the whole 3 years he lived with us which is unreal since he had spent his whole prior life outside chained up to a dog house. The neighbor next door was pretty sure that he was at least 12 years old or more when I adopted him from her. What was unreal was that he was the only dog that when he had to go, he would whimper to let you know.

Toby was supposed to have exploratory surgery this coming Monday for a mass in his chest that the Vet found early last week with an x-ray. :( I think it was better that he passed away in his sleep rather than have to go through surgery and then a recovery period with an uncertain outcome.

I was just so happy that he was able to live with us and be part of our family for the last 3 years of his life. He was a beautiful dog and I miss him bad. I've been a basket case since Thursday but life goes on. Toby is buried in our side yard grass field with our other 7 pets that have passed away. The grass field, 5-7 acres, is where he spent all his time outside wandering around with his brothers and sisters, the Labs and the little Boxer, exploring every shrub and tree and anything else that interested him.

I hope everyone will forgive me for this little story but Toby meant more to me than any of my cars. I'm going to try and get a picture of Toby posted next to my Cayenne Turbo S so this post won't be entirely out of line.

Good bye Toby my little friend. I love you and will always remember all the good times we spent together. Thank you for sharing your life with me. Michael

My thanks to everyone of you for your kind thoughts. I would like to thank especially nthfinity who always comes through for me when I need him and especially this time when I was desperate for his assistance to get Toby's picture posted for all of you to see. I will forever owe you a debt of gratitude Isaac. You've made me smile when it has been almost impossible to do over the last few days.

dani_d_mas, Since you've also experienced a pet loss recently, I have a little story for you and me and all pet lovers who have ever suffered a loss of their faithful and loving companion. Although every time I read it, it brings tears to my eyes, this little tribute also offers hope for in the future that we may be reunited with our companions we have lost. dani_d_mas..... this one's for You!

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth, called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge is a land of meadows, hills and valleys, with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring weather. The old and frail animals are made young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again, and those who are ill are made well again. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches, the ears are up, and eyes are staring. And this one suddenly runs from the group.

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together... never again to be separated. ~Author Unknown

I had the Cayenne Turbo S out for a ride today because I went to see my sister. It was a beautiful day, temps in the low 60s and partly sunny. So..... I took some decent pictures of her after going through one of those high pressure laser washes and will try and do a review tonight so I can post it tomorrow. A lot of you have been asking for it and I think by now I can give you a very good impression of what she's like.

If I may, I would like to dedicate this review to Toby, my faithful companion, and to nthfinity (Isaac), who as you all know by now, was instrumental in getting Toby's picture uploaded for me under my post. Thanks so much again Isaac. :)

I'm hoping to get the review on tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest and to pester nthfinity to help me post the pics of the Turbo S. I think you should enjoy the review because the Turbo S has been a very pleasant surprise to me in so many ways. Please bear with me because of my sadness over the last few days from the loss of Toby. :( I hope that the review won't let you down in any way. Magwheel (Michael)

the last pet that i would concider mine was nearly 6 years ago already...

my Senior year in high school, and early in the fall, a nearly ferral dog found his way in our back yard garden. It was a small back yard, (front yard for that matter) that was fenced in. He was a little dirty, weak, and scared for his life. I wouldn't dare put my hand near his mouth, as he would've bitten hard and deep for instinct.

I searched out the neighbors homes for some dog food, or treats until I found some; and came back to the bush he was hiding under for shade. Still scared, but definately hungary, he came out slowly, and within 30 seconds, had nothing but kisses and love to give! Soon, I found 6 ticks in various states of growth on him; and plucked them off one by one to help them meet thier death... thankfully, they had not taken this dog to the state of paralysis yet.

There was no dog tag, just a coller with no name, and no licence information. For several months, we contacted the humane society asking if anybody was searching for such a dog as him; a 1/2 Golden Retriever, and 1/2 German Shepherd... It was to no avail, so we adopted him.

I've often been weak with names, and after 2 months, the name "Dog" just stuck; it fit him very well :) He never had any accidents indoors, and never had a problem being outside, and staying in our small yard. It didn't matter much, as it was a joy to take him for walks, or by the park on the dog run.

There was one issue that Dog had, and it was itchy paws, to which he eventually gnawed to a slight infection. Thankfully, the vet. had a simple solution, force the dog to be unable to reach his paws, and let them heal; and put on ointment for a few weeks.

This was going quite well when he dug into a loose bag, and couldnt paw it off because of the funnel around his head. He wandered essentially blind, and fell down the stairs to the basement, and had severe head trauma, which killed him after getting up and wandering an additional 10 ft.

It was very dificult to lose him, even after such a short time.

~after such a long time of not thinking about this, it does make me sad all over again.

If I may, I would like to dedicate this review to Toby, my faithful companion, and to nthfinity (Isaac), who as you all know by now, was instrumental in getting Toby's picture uploaded for me under my post. Thanks so much again Isaac. :)

I finally finished the Turbo S review. It's been a hard week since Toby passed away. Really miss him and I keep doing things around the home from habit that he was always a part of. It's as though he's still here. I'm dedicating this review to Toby, my little sidekick, because he and I have something in common. I adopted him and I myself was adopted. Toby, here's to all the good times we spent together and hopefully someday, we will be together again.

Let's see... where should I start? :?: Oh yeah... how did I become interested in a Porsche Cayenne. Well, over the past 4 or 5 years, I've had two Range Rovers in our family. My girlfriend had one and so did I. Her lease was up a couple of weeks ago and I knew she wanted a new one because she loved it so much. So I wound up getting her a 'Supercharged' version when she was really supposed to get the regular model. I accidentally slipped out that I was getting the 'Ex' a Supercharged version (to get her the hell off my back... but that's another story!) and then she (my girlfriend) said why can't I get one too.

I was just trying to be a nice guy by making sure the Ex was well taken care of and I ran into a hornets nest with both of them. The funny part is the Ex wanted to know what color my girlfriend was getting so she could decide what color she wanted. Well, I blew my top and told her if she didn't give me a answer on the color by the next morning, she wasn't getting any car. Do you believe she never called me? So far she doesn't have her new Range Rover yet!

Back to the Turbo S. Since we already were getting a new Range Rover in a couple of months, I thought that having two in the same household was probably ridiculous. So a few months ago, I went shopping for a Cayenne Turbo. Didn't even know about the 'Turbo S' yet but eventually I found out! I had looked at one (standard Turbo) at our local dealer. It was nice but not as good looking as the Range Rover, IMO.

So I cooled down on the Cayenne desire until one day I had made an appointment at the Cleveland Porsche dealer to take in my Porsche Carrera GT to have the letter 'T' that popped off, put back on. I also wanted to get the oil changed and the overall inspection. Before I went up there, I had checked their website for Cayenne Turbos out of curiosity and found two (Turbo S) that were pretty well decked out. One was a couple bucks more than the other and had some interesting additions.

First of all, it was all black... exterior and interior. PLUS... it had the blackout package. Wow! Had no idea what it was but it sounded 'stealthy'! I called the dealership to make sure it was still there and they confirmed it had not been sold yet.

Now let me tell you how I happened upon Porsche of North Olmsted. I had posted on another Porsche forum that while drying off the CGT after washing it one afternoon, my towel had snagged the letter 'T' and popped it off. I asked the forum members if anyone had an idea of the best and safest way to put it back on. After several comments, 'Bernie', the owner of the North Olmsted dealership responded that he would be more than happy to 'come' down and put it back on for me. COME DOWN to me? Huh? I e-mailed Bernie and said that was nice but it would be ridiculous for him to come down. I would be more than happy to 'come up' to his dealership and meet the guy who had made such a kind offer. So I made the appointment to have the letter put back on and also have the oil changed, a few TSBs and whatever else was deemed necessary.

In the meantime, I talked to Bernie and asked him if we could try and work out a deal on the Cayenne Turbo S. He made me a great offer which interested me to see it even more. I also asked that just in case I didn't like the car, would he give me a loaner to drive back to my home. He said sure, no problem. How about that for potential customer relations?

Well I got there and whoa daddy! There it was in all it's grandeur... the all Black 'SR71' Porsche Cayenne Turbo S! I finally found out what the 'blackout option' was. All the trim (doors, windows, etc.) which are normally chrome, were replaced with 'black chrome.' Dang thing looked like a 'CIA' special!

I took it around the block, came back and cried on Bernie's shoulder for a better deal to which he finally relented and I drove her back home! What an excellent highway cruiser! She just rocketed all the way home.

Now for the 3 to 4 month ownership review. The difference between the Range Rover and the Cayenne Turbo S, IMO, is the following: the Range Rover is a sharper looking car, it has a richer quality interior and slightly more cargo space and I think she rides a bit smoother but I'm comparing it to the 'Turbo S' which has a hairier suspension to begin with so this may not be a fair comparison on the ride quality.

I like the sportier interior of the Turbo S better and the 'red dash gauges' are the cat's ass! The seat heaters will get your buns red hot in no time at all and the car itself heats up pronto! I love the dash layout with the sound system buttons and arrangement. The stereo system controls make it very easy to switch between AM, FM, CD or Satellite (Sirius). It also has the 'trick' front and rear parking sensors in the bumpers... PLUS, interior front and back headliner lighted bar sensors that light up like the head band of that crew member on Star Trek. :scatter: "Beam me up Scotty!"

Then there's the brakes. The front discs are the size of manhole covers and will stop you on a dime! I should know. I was buying my girlfriend a birthday gift for her, uhhhh, 21st, 25th, 30th or whatever, hell she won't admit what birthday it is anyway! Coming home, I wound up behind one of those left lane road hogs that drive you nuts so I kicked in the gas a little more and the turbos lit up and OMG, some guy turns in front of her and doesn't see me coming! All I could see was a T-Bone Sandwich! Well at least my eyes and my brake foot still work even if nothing else on my body does! I hit the brakes slightly hard... but I didn't push them to the floor and that car slowed down so fast, it felt like my nose was in front of the grilles! :wall: Bingo... now that's what I call brakes.

I really like the ass end and front end lower stainless metal pans in the front and rear and also the dual 'double barrel shotgun' exhaust tubes that look like small cannons. I haven't tried the 'Tip Buttons' cause I think they're stupid. I prefer the paddle systems a lot better like the ones on my F430 or on the Lamborghinis I just sold. But not like the paddles on the BMW M3s with SMG I had a few years ago. Those damn things rotated with the steering wheel! The F430 and the Lambos paddles stay fixed and make you feel as though you're on the circuit chasing Michael Shu!. The Turbo S buttons are too small and awkward for my taste. The F430 paddles are the perfect size.... but I hardly ever use them anyway. The F1 trans shifts so smooth and positive that they're really not needed. Just like the buttons on the Turbo S aren't! "Buttons... what Buttons? We don't need no stinking buttons!" :2gunfire:

The steering wheel feels great and seems to be of the right thickness. Nice sunroof and neat headliner. But... the console cup holders need to be spaced out a little farther apart from each other. She has the split rear hatchback cover which I haven't used yet except for the photo here. The cargo area is nice and you can see where I added a WeatherTech cargo mat and also use their floor mats. They are really nicely made and the floor mats have a lip that overhangs the door sills a little so you can just sweep the debris off the mats to the ground outside. Nice products WeatherTech! Oh yeah..... the door sills. Their lettering is lighted. Looks 'dynomite' at night!

One area of disappointment so far is the windshield wiper delay system. The delay mechanism is tied into the rain sensor and it detects the amount of moisture on the windshield. At this point, the sensor and the delay are working about as good as a 3 Stooges Fire Drill. Sometimes on time and sometimes..... nyuk, nyuk, nyuk! :slap:

The headlights are akin to 'landing lights' on a 747 or World War II search lights. They light up the road like it's daytime just as the lights on my 997 Turbo and CGT also do. I get flashed a lot from some oncoming cars who are not use to Bi-Zenon headlights because they just think you have left your brights on. Once I do flash them my brights, they immediately dim theirs and and calm down.

I've enclosed a close-up picture of the rear view camera closed.... please forgive the reflection off my bald head! I tried using the rear view camera a little but it makes me feel like I'm on LSD or some other kind of psychedelic drug. After 10 or 20 seconds of watching that rear camera screen, my eyes are crossed and watering! It may be OK to check quickly for children, pets or claymore mines but I wouldn't recommend taking too long of a look.

As you can see in a few pics, I've trained my dogs to sniff out the Turbo S to make sure everything is A-OK before takeoff! By the way, doesn't the front end with those 3 huge grilles look like the open mouth of JAWS?

Now I've saved the best part for last! The Turbo S engine.... 520 horses of insane power! :roflmao: I can't believe how she responds. Sure there is turbo lag but so what. When she hits that turbo band, gentlemen... hide your women and children and lookout!!! Zaaappp.... all hell breaks loose! I swear, I drive this car on the 'average' faster than any other car I own and that includes the CGT! On the freeways, I blast along at 80-85 or more most of the time. I've had her up to 100 , 105 and 110 several times already. And that's not me. I don't like high speed because I just don't trust myself or other people on the road. My girlfriend has had to use the 'oh sh_t' handles on the console a few times already. I just feel so stable and confident in the Turbo S that it's unreal. I guess the license plate is appropriate!

I'm really glad I bought the Cayenne Turbo S and want to thank Bernie and the WHOLE staff at Porsche of North Olmsted for treating me like a 'king' and giving me such a great deal on a fantastic car!

Sorry for possibly being a little long winded but it's hard not to keep praising the wonderful experience of my Turbo S. Magwheel

p.s. I'll be sending the pics to nthfinity which he said he would post for me. Please give him a couple of days to get them on. Thanks again Isaac. You 'da' man! :D

Hey Everyone, I wanted to thank all of you for the belated Christmas gift you gave me. Although it was only, (I'm guessing 6-12 hours late), you guys did it. Since March of this year, the Topic I started has received 80,000 hits early Tuesday morning.

Your interest in my cars and the reviews I did, has put a huge smile on my face. :D Plus, the various friends I've made from all over the world is a great extra. I'm not a traveler since, (boy I hate to admit this), but I'm 'chicken sh_t about flying. :shocked!: I haven't been in an airplane since 1977. So hearing from people in different countries is kinda my way of being a 'world traveler'!

Again, thank you for the fantastic Christmas present! I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and please have a safe, healthy and happy New Year! :smilecolors: Michael p.s. I still owe you guys reviews on the Mercedes SL550 and S550. I'll give you those next month. Thanks again. Michael

Merry Xmas Mike! May 2007 bring new cars to your garage ;)
A little late but I guess you could say Santa made it! :x-mas:

Well.... TT and Jabba, I've got some more ammunition for your web site. It's gonna make some people happy and somebody mad. I traded the 2005 Ford GT and the 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo on a brand new 2006 Mercedes McLaren SLR!

I had first taken a SLR for a test ride in March of 2006 (You may remember my test ride review here on JW) and loved the car but not enough to cough up the :shocked!: 'beaucoup' amount of moolah to buy it. The thought of another huge car payment made me nauseous! But then every other month, the SLR bug bit my ass again and again. First I'd want one.... :good: then I wouldn't.... :bad: then I would.... and then I wouldn't! This has gone on and on and on for the past several months. So just this past week, I decided to cut to the chase and get off my arse and break open my piggy bank!

I called the Cleveland Mercedes dealer and worked out a deal trading in the 997 Turbo and the Ford GT. I feel I got a pretty good deal but won't know for sure until after I drive the car and try and wipe the drool and huge grin off my face! I'm hoping that the price drop of the SLR comes to a sudden halt soon and it starts to climb back up a little. Kinda taking a huge gamble on the future value of the car but sometimes.... 'You've gotta throw all caution to the wind and say the hell with it!' :wanker:

I bought the Crystal Laurite Silver with the Silver Arrow 300SL Red Leather interior SLR. I liked the Black one too but I think the Silver will show its body lines off better and will certainly stand out a little more in the sun.... especially with the red interior. She should be here Wednesday or Thursday at the latest according to the dealer.

The dealer also sent a few guys to pick up the Ford GT and the 997 Turbo Friday night.... guess they were afraid I'd suddenly change my mind on the SLR...... Who me? The bummer was, it was raining pretty good and although the 997 has seen a little rain, the Ford GT couldn't even spell rain! The thought of getting the Ford GT's engine compartment wet and dirty made me cringe in pain! :x

Unfortunately, right now, there's a couple empty parking spots in the garages!

I'll try and do a review of the SLR and a comparison to the Carrera GT shortly after I get the steering wheel is in my horny little hands! The Mags

p.s. I really loved the Ford GT (but hardly drove it.... only 1000 miles in 2 years), so it just didn't make sense keeping her. And even though I did drive the Porsche 997 Turbo a lot more than the Ford GT, I just couldn't justify holding on to the Turbo when I could have the SLR in its parking spot ! Did I do OK? :faint:

Wow Magwheel!! :D

At least you get the opportunity to do these kind of things! :D

I think you did well to start off! Your bang on about the Silver, the lines do come out best in that colour! And I love the red interior too, its the same type SLR they used on the TopGear Race!

Anyway I can understand why you put the GT and the Porsche away.. I fully can! If you can't enjoy them, why keep them :bah:?

You will have a Carrera GT, a racing car for the streets! And a SLR which is also a racingcar wen you want it to be..! If you just want to drive it normally put in in D and waft forever! :D

This puts such a big smile on my face, really does!

Again I think you did well, the SLR is the best and most reliable supercar ever made IMO!

Hope you will enjoy it for a very long time, keep us updated! Oh and Happy New Year my friend! :D

Humm.. I think that implies flying=airplane=NO :D

Am I right or what? :D

It's a one time opportunity. If you take into account what the car costs the airfare is pocketchange.

SLR is a great car, one of my favourites and i'm sure you will enjoy it. A pitty the 997T had to go, but it's all great when a SLR is coming though :P

Congratulations for the trade.

I think that it is safe to say that Michael hasn't been on an aircraft of any kind in at least 20 years... but i think even longer (sometime in the 70's) ;)

(boy I hate to admit this), but I'm 'chicken sh_t about flying. I haven't been in an airplane since 1977

It would be funny... someone buying an SLR, and then not going to the factory to save money! :D

In fact.... almost as funny has someone having and driving cars that can do 300km/h, but being afraid to fly! :D

It is a whole lot of pages LOL... but its a nice way to spend a bit of time :)

Also, a friend who bought a CGT in early 2005 had one on order originally, stopped the order, and bought his at 40,000$ off MSRP... and didn't fly to Weissach, or Stutgart to do any of the available options for pick up, or pre-ordered costomer events, and is quite happy he saved 40,000$... but... I have another friend who has one, and is quite happy to have flown to Germany for the special costomer options, and doesn't regret it whatsoever...

Oh yeah guys...... go ahead and just keep picking on my sorry 'old' spoiled brat ass! :prr: Just cause I'm afraid to fly (in an airplane) and not go over 120 mph or so in a car doesn't mean I'm a 'candy ass' or..... does it???

Heck... I use to drag race across the nation and once hit a guard rail at around 100-110 mph. Didn't roll the car (1967 Camaro Super Stocker) but the accident would have made a fantastic Coca Cola commercial. After I got out of the car and the "Hurst Safety Safari Team' got to me, they asked me if I was OK? I responded to them by saying "I'm alright... do you have a Coke?... gimme a Coke!" :shocked!:

You've guys got to remember, I'll be 59 next month. Back in the 60s, if I had these cars then, I might have been as 'wild and crazy' like most of you 'young shi_ts' are nowadays! :slap: You'll see, as you get older and wiser, you'll value the time you have left here on Earth and slow down a little.

Hey Michael I read in your signature that you got yourself a TACOMA???

GREAT BUY MAN! How are you liking it so far? Any pics? Also what kind did you get? 2 or 4 doors?

Check out my Tacoma. http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=41357

More pictures will be added probably in a few weeks time. :D

Hey Pimp Racer, Sorry for the late reply. I bought the 4 door extended bed. Most of its use will be for getting corn and bird seed :D and occassionally hauling items too big for the Toyota FJ. I usually haul 800 to 1000 lbs. at a time and she has no trouble!

I had a 06 Ford F150 but was tired of driving a 'big' truck  so I gave it to my girlfriend's brother to finish out the lease. He had some financial problems and I tried to ease his stress a little.

Enjoy your Tacoma.... I really like mine. I just installed a Sirius Stiletto radio in her yesterday. Their channel selection is really great. I love listening to Radio Classics (channel 118) which plays a lot of radio shows from the 40s and 50s. Take care. Michael

Well, after my turbulent last few months with selling and buying cars, I finally realized I needed some 'runabouts' I could spend more time in. :roflmao:

I really loved the Ford GT (but hardly drove it.... only 1000 miles in 2 years), so it just didn't make sense keeping her. And even though I did drive the Porsche 997 Turbo a lot more than the Ford GT, I just couldn't justify holding on to the Turbo when I could have the SLR in its parking spot! Being honest though, I also wanted to reduce the 'inventory' a little because I just had too many wheels and couldn't drive them all a decent amount of time. Having a lot of nice rides is great but having them, not putting miles on 'em' and only looking at them is 'assinine'! :silly:

The SLR arrived on January 11th. Amazing... truly amazing! :shocked!: The Crystal Laurite Silver and the Silver Arrow Red leather interior is just 'unbelievable'!

But... there are some things I'm slightly disappointed with. :-/ Some items that almost any one of us could have said, "Hey... McLaren/Mercedes... What the hell were you thinking?" Don't get me wrong, I'm very, very happy I got the car and glad I worked out the trade for her. She absolutely will be driven a ton more than I drove the Ford GT and maybe as much as I would have driven the Porsche 997 Turbo. Give me a few more days in the SLR and and I should be able to provide you with a pretty decent review and the comparison to the Carrera GT some of you had asked for.

In the meantime, I'll try and get nthfinity to post a few pics of the McLaren SLR and her 'brother' in their garage. It's been raining here for the last few days so right now I can't get come up with some decent outside pics. When the sun shines again, I'll try and take better pictures to provide you with.

Ya the Taco can just handle about anything and is I think the best mid sized truck out. We use the truck usually to move things such as small cooking grills, 2 or 3 propane tanks, big bowls and cooking utility when we hold a family gathering or something similiar and sometimes I take it to school. Really we had no need for a truck this big/nice but we just needed something another car to get us from point A to point B (We have currently 4 cars and maybe another will be coming soon.) My dad wanted to look at the prius and a few other hybrids and then he saw the truck and just completly changed his mind and decided to buy it. :D Also my brother and I kinda forced him to get it becuase we both liked it so damn much but too bad for my bro he away for college to enjoy the truck hehe.

Nice to see you help out your girlfriend's brother man! :)

Everything on our truck is stock but I have plans on getting a darker tint, maybe them blue lights which look very eye catching and some big rims around 20-22's :) But my dad also told me that I must get this with my own money so.....I will have to wait a while.....or after college.

Enjoy the truck and the new SLR man! :D

Hi Stmoritzer, I'm glad you enjoyed your ride in the Cayenne Turbo. :D Everything on my car is stock the way it came from Porsche. The rear spoiler and real lower pan are stainless steel. They kinda look good and are set off against the black.

No problem using my pic as your 'avatar' but the least you could have done was 'Photoshop' my balding head with a full head of hair :rainbowafro: or taken it out completely. The reflection in the backround almost makes me feel like 'Yul Brenner'! Take it easy, Michael

As I saw the SLR pics, I started thinking what plate it will have and looks like I am not alone ;)

Fabulous car, there is a nice collection of Mercs in your garage now. Congrats.

Could you compare a little the SL550 to SLR, how much they feel different and how they grip and so, I really would like to read the feelings that make it stand out from the little more ordinary Mercs (ordinary is so subjective with your cars..).

R8 would be the next nice add-on to your fleet, should be okay for a daily driver too.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/exotic/112_0701_2008_audi_r8/index.html <-MotorTrend test, I just love that White <3 <3

A second choice for an add-on on that so nice fleet would be 997gt3rs, in white, of course ;) Too bad it is not as much of a daily driver as the R8, but I guess the kicks driving it would so much bigger..

Ps. 288GTO is my all time favourite of all cars ever made. It is like F40 in the most beautiful party dress..

Hi ViperASR, Yeah... that's the 'ole' Lambo garage. Worked out real well for the SLR. When I had the Lambos, I tried to get the Murcielago next to the Carrera GT and she was just too wide. But, as you can see, the SLR fits nice and cozy next to the CGT.

I'm sure the fact that the garage is heated will make those two real comfortable in there especially on days like today when it's 26 degrees now with 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground, 3-5 more due tonight and the temp is going down to 8 or 9 degrees tonight. :shocked!:

Seems that you like grey supercars, don't you? do you know if there was any special colour as an option for the SLR? do you know the extra cost for... let's say... have it painted in red? anyway, I'd probably take it in silver too... it's just the perfect colour for it! :good:

Now the question is - when will you replace the SLR for a black-on-black SLR 722??

Silver cars are super easy to hide any dirt or grime on their body. Plus although I like other colors for the CGT, to ME, Silver just makes the car look classy as hell!

Every time I say I'm done buying cars cause I like what I have, I freak out for some reason and go and trade or buy something new. :silly: Soooo, for right now I'm A-OK and have intentions of buying something else. I've only driven the SLR 5-10 miles because of the Ohio weather. At least give me a chance of getting bored with it..... NOT!!! Magwheel

p.s. I don't think SLR 722s will be imported any time soon according to news reports.

Great pics once again. The SLR looks awesome, but it's even better with the CGT in the pic too. The difference in height looks big, though it's only about 4".
I haven't noticed it before, but the SLR has a face in the back. Taillights are the eyes, tailgate forms a nose and the oval shaped opening below them gives like an evil, robotic two-teethed wince:-)
Thanks for the pics!

Koenigsegg and Zonda wont be in the USA anytime soon, regardless of the CCX being made for the american market; neither company has the financial abilities to be imported while meeting any form of DOT standards; but may in fact comply with EPA regulations... The first zonda dealer may be near the Gulf Coast... if it arrives.

perhaps i'm the odd one out, but I appreciate Michael's collection for being what it is..... continuously evolving, and unique to any other collection out there. I feel no want to try and push this or that, as 99% of the user's here have nothing to say besides reading an article here and there. Sure, i'd love it if magwheell had each car that is my favorite... but would it be his personal flair anymoree?

about that Super Carrera GT..... while that isn't likely to be named that... i've hearrd something is in the hopps and yeast in Stutgart... as a guessing man, that is still 4-6 years from production delivery... just a guess :p

man, februrary can't leave fast enought... come on april! (skip march if it's cold too LOL )

Hi MIHALS, Dang.... That was very nice of you to remember my :bday: even if you were a couple days late. The girlfriend threw me a fantastic party at the club (all family) and we had a great time. Probably would have had a better (wilder) time if I didn't have that 'ball and chain' :roflmao: around my ankles but 'so be it'!

The GF got me a lot of 'Mercedes' clothes and neat items. I don't know what gave her the idea I like Mercedes?

I finally got the plate for the SLR! I hope you're gonna like it. It has some 'nostalgia' behind it from an old time Marlon Brando movie and I think it fits the car perfectly! Since you were the first (and only) :( person (individually) to wish me happy Birthday on the web, I'll send you a pic later on today (hopefully) and then I'll post it on the site.

You have a great day yourself  and thanks again for remembering me on my B-Day. Next year is one of the 'big ones'. I'll be 60!!! So far, I think the only birthday that ever bothered me was when I turned 20. :hmm: It's been so long ago, I really can't remember. Not sure, but I think it bothered me because I was no longer a teenager! :drinking:

Birthdays are like women in your life. 'They come and go' and you have some good memories and some bad memories. But there's really nothing you can do about it so just take both (B-Days and women) in stride!!! :D Mags

Actually Koenigsegg have one official dealer in the USA, ecacp.com and they have been the official dealer since the summer of 2006 so yes, people can actually buy the CCX in America now so i have no idea why nthfinity said that Koenigsegg wont be avalible in the states anytime soon.

every video of a CCX in USA has been the press car, and is not DOT legal yet. Check your sources mate. I know a person who had tried to be the future US koenigsegg dealer...

again, not one CCX is in the US besides the press/mfr car making it's rounds... at least this was true 2 months ago last time I checked... any new videos of a new car on US streets? was it a CCR/CC8S privately imported?

Since the official dealer started taking order in the summer of 2006 and the waiting time is over 1.5 years for the production of the Koenigegg......you do the math why you dont see the koenigegg on the streets in the USA yet.

10,9,8,7,6,5.... Launch on hold! Houston, We have a problem here!

Well, I finally got around to taking the pics of the SLR and its new license plate. :) I got the idea from the 1953 Marlon Brando movie, "The Wild One". I think it fits the cars personality pretty good..... how about you?

As you can tell by my title for this post, we do have a problem over here in Northeast Ohio. It's a minor thing called.... 12-15 inches of snow! My driveway has a few up and down slopes and after driving on them and packing the snow down, it gets pretty icy and slippery.

So the SLR and the Carrera GT are stuck in the garage until the drive clears up. :( Damn.... it sure felt good being in her even if it was to back her up so I could take the pics I promised you.

Again, sorry for the delay but it kept snowing on and off again and then it would clear up.... for a few minutes and then start all over again.

I'm enclosing the links for the pics and hope they come out. If they don't, I'll have to beg somebody to post them for me the right way! Magwheel

p.s. Just checked the pics I put on Photobucket and they worked!!! Now I can do pics on my own from now on. See ... you can teach an old dog new tricks!

And..... do you think I'd get my 'rocks off' :wanker: in the RS more than I did in the Turbo? The Turbo was fast as hell but it was a little too sedate (body effects and color wise) for me. My friend Ken has said that his 997 GT3 RS is the only GT3 he'd get, as he prefers the wider rear end... it is more muscular.

my personal opinion? The green would fit in the same soul as the Hulk you parted ways with.

How is your epxerience in harsh track oreinted street cars? Is it the look and feel of the GT3 that gets your blood pumping? In the US, the RS ought to hold it's value quite well for a while, so I don't think that will be an issue... where the Turbo, and normal GT3 will drop off more quickly.

The US speced car has more comfortable seats, and A/C as standard equipment, and not the intrusive roll cage (full cage) as the european counterpart. I would fully expect the GT3 to ride about the same quality as a Z06, perhaps a little harsher.

In any case, for myself, I would love one .... [/selfishthoughts]

ViperASR and all the rest of you who have been such good friends and supportive of my 'questionable sanity' :silly: :bad-words:  :prr:   :wall: I DID IT!!! Closed the deal an hour ago on the Orange GT3 RS from that Boston Porsche dealership! Like always, I've been eating my guts out trying to figure out what to do. :argue: Yes.... No..... Yes.... No..... Yes...... No..... !!!

The papers will be here Tuesday and they'll get them back Wednesday and hopefully the car will be here the following week sometime UNLESS...... somebody goes in there and offers them more 'stupid money' than I did! BUT.... Well, we (the Owner's son and I) made the deal over the phone, shook hands virtually and I'm sending him a deposit next week! I would think that's a 'solid' binding contract!

Please don't ask me what I paid! I really don't need any more people than my family, my girlfriend and the rest of her family trying to convince me I'm a complete 'asshole'!!! :puke:

Lemme see..... how can I justify this transaction. How about a Top 10 list: 1) I don't have an Orange car 2) I'm 59 and not sure how much time is left 3) I have an empty space in the garage 4) I like aggravating my girlfriend 5) My family hates me 6) I don't have a mistress on the side 7) 2 Porsches is not enough for anybody 8) I sold my 997 Turbo to get the SLR and now I'm totally depressed 9) I'm a deprived child..... (yeah right!) 10) I really am a complete asshole !!! :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: Sorry.... gotta go and take my medicine! Mags

And now I can't wait for some pics :D

Orange is a great color, and an hardcore car in your collection would fit pretty well!

Do you have any race track nearby?

Oh, and what about the plate? :P

Big Congrats!

You can't go wrong with buying a GT3. But it should definitely see some track time while it's in your ownership, as that would abviously be the best and ultimate way to fully experience this car.

A huge congrats on the purchase, I think everyone here on JW agrees with me in that there is no better way to spend that amount of "stupid money".

ViperASR and all the rest of you who have been such good friends and supportive of my 'questionable sanity'
I'm not questioning shit now that youve bought a GT3RS :prr:

2 Porsches is not enough for anybody
I cannot agree more, comming from a family with 2 Porsches

Great collection. The property you are photographing the cars on is also quite pretty. Your photos are great.

If you have not been there yet, I would suggest you visit wreckedexotics.com as I do not want to see any of your cars show up there.

As you continue to drive these great cars I would love to hear from you, your impressions. Which is your favorite. Which is your least favorite. Which are you the most comfortable driving fast, which one you are not.

As they age I would also enjoy hearing about maintainence. Which is the most reliable, most expensive to maintain. Which car causes you the most trouble due to lack of ground clearance.

Thanks for posting your cars here, it is a treat to see them all.

TT and TopGearNL (sorry for leaving you out!), You know I can't reveal the plate until I get the title and apply for the plate otherwise..... some unscrupulous person  could take my idea and get the plate before I do!

But..... when I get it, if it doesn't meet with the 'majority' approval of JabbasWorld :fuck:, I always have 'FUZY NVL' (the liquor drink) which was on the Pearl Orange Gallardo that I felt was a fantastic plate. It's still mine for 3 or 4 more months on reserve! I was leaving a restaurant one night and a 'older couple', hmmmm, I guess my age, were laughing :roflmao: their asses off after reading the plate. That's what I love to see, people laughing with me.... instead of at me! Take care TT. I'll have some more news soon on my Tangerine! Mags

Great choice Mags, the new RS should be so much fun, delivering the kicks also in more moderate speeds, the Turbo shines in the higher speeds and even then it is more the machine that shines than the driver.

997RS should be also more useable than the 996RS, European version being little more hardcore, seats and so on.

I suppose this one will be for keeps until new GT2 comes along, or prancing horse with F430CS :) Enjoy the new car, I hope the weather will allow it soon.

You bought an RS? Niiiiiiiceee, I like! :D

Btw, has the snow melted over there yet, so you can finally take those rides out?

Obviously can't wait for some pics and possibly a review (?). :)

insane, Yep.... the snow is 98-99% gone, that is until this coming weekend! We may get a slight sprinkle again but it looks pretty good from now on.

I even had the SLR out last night and I was foaming at the mouth with excitement! BTW.... my girlfriend's bother met us up at the restaurant we go to and he started talking about the empty garage space at the house I own next door to the main house. He started agitating me :prr: about how I should be getting something new to fill the void up there. Well, while he was talking and making suggestions, I had this 'shit eating' grin on my face and the next thing you know, he says...... "I knew it, I just knew it! You got something didn't you!"

My girlfriend starts giving me :ninja: dagger looks.... and then I'm reminded for sure why I will never get married again! :fuck:

Anyhow, not being a liar, I toid my GFs brother what I bought..... probably coulda fried eggs on my GF's head! :roflmao:

Well.... we get home and I show her pics of the Orange RS! Surprisingly, she likes the car and the Orange color the best of all 4 color choices. She even said it looked real sharp!

And the saga continues..... the Mags..... over and out! :scatter:
