Not all that bad of an idea though, I bet the PS3 will sell for at least 2.5k on ebay on the first day.

Well... there will be bunch of auctions that will end with $2500.00 high bids - that does not mean there will be a whole lot of people receiving $2500.00 payments for PS3's sold...

They are some hardcore gamers I must say. I cant think of anything I would wait 9 days for in a queue.

I went to Best Buy this morning for a job interview (got the job, but it's seasonal) and I saw about 7 people waiting outside. I went inside and one of the workers told me that they had been there since Monday. Do these people have no lives?
The awesome thing was, as I was waiting outside, I saw a bunch of people coming to Best Buy and picking up Gears of War. A few people made some funny remarks. One guy is like, "I hope you guys brought enough food!" Another one said, "Where is the line for PS4? Is it on the other side?"

Theres a line outside my Best Buy already. I think I'm gonna go over there with a friend dressed as football players and pour a huge cooler of gatorade on one of them.

Since my experience with PS2, I am never buying a first batch electronic from Sony again. Got the Disc Read Error after 2 month of use.

A firmware update. Yep, Sony's Japanese site released a press release stated that there will be a software update on November 11th to allow "customers to be able to utilize the Playstation Network functions."

didn't some kid that waited for the 360 for like 3 days get a free one and a tour of the microsoft HQ or something? so i am sure these kids are looking to get some pay back from waiting that long. I mean if they were giving out new cars for that cheap i would wait a hell of a long time.
