Nice car....but I think the sound is one of its flaws, but a new exhaust system could fix that.
Why didn't you go for an XKR?

Very nice Jagy. One feature I always love about the XK8/R and the facelifted modem of the previous XJ are those dails 'sunk' into the wooden dasboard.

thanks for all your comments. We had a look at an xkr - exact same colour as the xk8 in fatc, but the dealership just didnt seem that bothered in selling it! - We made the journey from our house to blackburn 2 times - about 200miles round trip, and they still didnt seem to be bothered. We even asked for a test drive (surely that must indicate that we were interested) but they made axcuses how it had no petrol in it, and that the battery was flat - we looked in the cra - and it started on the key, and had 1/4 of a tank!
Anyway, we decided to go for the extra security of a jaguar main dealer, and actually got a really really good deal.
Although it aint an R, it still goes like shit off a stick

Sweet, congrats on the new car, far more comfy than the BMW.

Too bad for the BM It would have made a perfect second car just in case
As for the Jag, it is very nice and pretty rare in red I think! Since there is no custom shot, I think we can move the topic in the "what you saw" section for now, sort of going around the rules LOL. I am sure it will be the first pic you will take once the car will be at home

Nice car Tom, I'd love an XK when I get back but sadly I think they will be a little out of my price range, plus the insurance would kill me, even as a 30yo. THe dog'd just kill those seats too.

Thanks TT, and yes your right. As soon as we get it - and as soon as i can get my hands on a camera again, a custom shot will be taken
@Trans Am - thats also one of the reasons we didnt go for an XKR - the insurance is roughly twice that of an xk8 - even for my dad who is 40 and has roulghly 20 years of NCB!!
Would of been nice to have that grille and bonnet vents though - plus the supercharger wouldnt have gone amiss!
