Need some suggestions

Hey guys, I'm still here. Been busy lately and working a lot of hours. But I just bought an '88 Honda Civic, and was debating whether or not it was worth it to upgrade it. I was thinking of a body kit and a paint job. But I don't want to put money into it if the engine is not gonna last. It's got some pickup to it and the engine still purrs. has over 150,000 miles on it, though. I don't know, was also thinking of changing the transmission to 5 instead of 4, but wasnt sure how the engine would hold up. Need some opinions, please.
