but the sound of the rotatory engine going backwards is horrible!

yes like all rotary's it is FUCKING FAST!!!
im sure nothing beats droping the clutch at 9000 - and taking second at 14 000 *scared shitless*

to my knowlage, they oftern give bikes a good run for there money...
or flogging!

and dude, a skyline is a track car, the fastest skyline in australia atm is still only running 10's
i think the fastest wrx is running high 9's!
as for rotary's i believe it's 8's!!!

Keir Wilson's OS Giken RB26DETT 3L kitted R32 GT-R ran 9.74 @ 144.5mph(road tyrers)..WRX 9.13 ET @ almost 150mph(dunno the owner is),Fastest Rotary is Joe Signorelli Rx7 with 7.58 @178mph

how about a carrera GT, its straight line and it has my fav tranny (regular 6speed manual with a CLUTCH) it mite not be the fastest or the cheapest way to go. besides it would be FUN, i love that car

eh im surprised noboday has mentioned the tried and tested 5 liter mustang. dirt cheap, light and can be made into a pretty quick little car with not a whole lot of money. i mean we are only talking about 1/4 mile here. not style or handling or sex appeal.
