Better weather conditions and replace the Z06 for the ZR1 and bring on the GT2 and GTR V-spec ( when launched).
Now that's something I would like to see.

I say try it again with someone who doesn't miss gears, a Z06 that hits its times, and a ZR1.
Seriously, Road and Track tested the Z06, GTR, and 997 as all hitting 0-60 in 3.4. The other R&T test had the Z06 hitting 60 in 3.6. Car and Driver lists the Z06 as hitting 60 in 3.6 as well. Motor Trend reported 3.7. Then Autocar manages to test more than half a second slower??? The Corvette has proven its 0-60 times in enough different tests over the last 2 years. Something was up with that vette.
Also, RC brings up a good point. How could they launch from that RPM without spinning the tires in colder weather (which normally means a bit more power and less traction?)

What the hell did he do to the syncros? My car doesnt do that and its the same transmission (not the same engine obviously). Not the mention Ive got faster 0-60s in my car then they observed with a z06..
In the race it sounds like hes short shifting.

Yes, I think that Z06 has seen better days. I wouldn't be surprised to see the GT2 beat a Z06 in a straight line drag, but not by that margin. 0-100 in 10 seconds? That seems about 2 seconds off what it should be doing. Interesting to watch, but they really need to have a rematch with a healthy Z.

This is why its important for magazine tests to include a dyno test to at least verify the car they are testing is not completely worn out.

Or it was running on a bad batch of fuel.

i wish they could've done a rolling start race as well, 3rd gear - 50mph, the Porsche probably would've won having so much more torque, but i doubt the gap would have been as big

Yea, I was expecting the Z06 to get beat too, but I really wanted to see it put down respectable numbers in the process.
