But the quality of the parts are not nearly as good as BMW or Benz
|
It's been proven that Bentz have the worst quality and reliability among German Luxo cars. maybe just in the States anyways.
Whatever, Audis make the most elegant German cars. All are beautiful...except A2 and A3 isn't beautiful, but rather cool. Besides, they make the most stylish wagons...the ones men would not be seen embarrassed in...and they are NOT called wagons, they are called Avants. also TT is a triumph of pure design.

nameley the S4, and the RS4 (which we never got in the states )
|
and yes shame that RS versions were not available in US...shame

I ahve always been an Audi fan - but everytime I see an A6 or A8 on the road, I can't help thinking they should have a less "bland and ordinary" look about them.
The TT look is nice, but the rest look too much like "worked over Passats" - Audi needs some nice aggressive designs again.
|
Guess what? Audi IS breaking out of its own design! Pike Pick was just ugly, but Nuvolari and LeMans concepts are breathtaking. Maybe the "shield grill" will work on Audis afterall...

i have alot of experience with audis, particulary the TT and the S4 and i had never had any problems outta either of them, and both were by no means babied, they were thrashed and modded constantly, i think they are about the best cars you can by build wise...

like I said before, an audi is an expensive VW, just like a lincoln/mercury is an expensive FORD. check it, VW owns audi and they share parts/engines/chassis. The S4 is basically a V8 Jetta with different sheet metal. most audis I see in LA are driven by women or sorta effeminate guys. but most are sorta ho-hum boring sorta cars, not the S4. I would buy an S4 if I lived in snow country and needed a middle management status symbol. or maybe I'd get a WRX STI or Evo8.

If i was riding one of these i'd get stamped as a rice-rocket-boy (cause i live in southern california...too, and it's fiiled with rice boy cars) that doesnt mean that i want to drive a VW...maybe Passat when im in 30s...and no Audis until im in mid 30s...even S4, RS6 and such...not even TT...
??? you mean V8 Passat...jeez...
I do have tremendous respect for Volkswagen AG and all of its subsidiaries...except for Lamborghini, who has lost my respect after creation of dreadful Murciélago...Diablo rules!!!

If you say Audi suck cause they're VW's, then most luxury brands sucks...
Ferrari and maserati suck cause they're fiat's
Lambo and bentley suck cause they're VW too
Mercedes suck cause they're chrysler
Aston/jag suck cause they're ford
Even ford can come up with something cool, like the ford GT. It's all about marketing... try telling all the lexus/acura/infiniti owners they're driving a toyota/honda/nissan
