This is quite possibly the explanation.

F430 comes with Bridgestone stock but apparently runs much faster on Pirellis

The 599's I have seen have Pirellis on

Oh no, the unbeatable Z06 outrun by a humble 997 turbo. Looking forward to Sport Auto doing a supertest on it to confirm the numbers. Roll on the GT2

Wow, what'd they do to that Z06? A base C6 with the Z51 package can run a 4.4 0-62mph time... A Z06 should be around 3.5-3.8 based on the countless reviews I've read.

And the F430 ships with Bridgestones, while the old Challenge Stradale (not sure about the standard 360 Modena...) shipped with Pirellis.

And this has been the case for many years - but others refuse to accept the fact that the false tripe they have been believing over the years is just that - false tripe

Two reviews in the mid-3s by major automotive magazines, proof enough as to what the car is capable of.

I just found that Car and Driver drove the car in another test, a comparison against the SRT-10 Coupe, and achieved 3.4 seconds 0-60 run.

We're still buzzing over the Z06's ferocious 3.4-second burst to 60 mph. That's two-tenths quicker than the Z06 we tested in October.

Take out the italians's corsa tires and it would've been Z06 v 997TT. No Question.

Tires = huge difference in times. Why do you think the M3 CSL came with semi-slicks?

yeah, engine capacity too (say 7 litres), turbocharging again advantages and so on

BTW before being fanboy , what kind of tyres did the other used ?

Could it be Michelin Pilot Sport 2 for 911 TT ???

And then you see that although Corsa is King , MPS2 is not far away , hehehe

If you don`t have all the data from that test STFU fanboy
