Hmm, I don't see that happening... The sales say the "Bangle design" is working, so...

I really couldn't tell you fox. The new X5 isnt' due until 07 or 08 when the X5 Coupe will come out (STILL hunting down pics. I;ll put them in my BMW thread when i find them.

The 7 series wont' be replaced until at least 2009. and the 5 until 2011. So there is really no way to tell if they are going to veer away from Bangle's ideas.

The 4.8l really is in the X5. But the facelifted 7er has a moderately different version which puts out considerable 8hp more.
again, i'll see if i can confirm this on monday. i need to check and see if they mention this in the new engine's training book.

Well, Adrian VanDooky (sp?) is the new Chief designer so I say the next generation of BMW will probably be more of a evolution of current designs rather than revolutionary like the current ones from the 80s through the 90s. (Remember he was the one that help pen considerable features in the Flaming Surface designs.)

ZfrkS62 - what about the rumour to the "Si" designations? And the fact that it is moving across the entire model range? Something underneath the M series? I guess that replaces the ZHP packages? Although I find turbo charging hard to believe.

I don't know about the Si badge. it really doesn't make any sense since the only car that still has an 'is' is the X5 4.8. I dont think changing the badging on the Sports Packages would be a good idea (330SiC?!) but of all the rumors posted, i would say this one is the least important.

And i have already heard from our rep that yes, there will be a turbo charged 3.0 later on.
