what is the rfk? is it the new minivan?
|
I heard that M3 will have 400 hp not 440, but if it will happen it will be nice :)
|
BMW will merge will Honda
I really want to see a Z9 come out!!! |
i don't know what is going on in the european market, but the 2 and 4 series are not going to happen. This has already been confirmed by BMW. Suffice to say that the M4 you speak of is really the M Roadster under the Z4 chassis.

x50 - V8 Valvetronic, biVANOS, 4799 cm³ ,270 kW/ 6300rpm, 490 Nm/3400rpm (slightly different tune than in the X5 iS where it puts out 265kw) :) Quote:

But essentially what you've claimed as a rumor is just past tense :P as for the Z9, it's still not going to happen. That article is quite old and there is NO confirmation of the car ever going into production. There is no point in making the car. As it was said in the article, it depends on the figures for the M6 and M6 CSL. the sales figures for the 6 series in Europe predict that the M6 is going to render the Z9 pointless. The M5's main market is going to be the US as it has been in the past, whilst the M6 will more than likely be Europes hot car. Therefor the Z9 isn't going any further than the drawing board. |

Ok, they do have the same basis, but from the point of view of an ordinary customer it's like that : If he wants a 5er/6er equipped with a V8 now there will be merely one choice : the 4.4l with 333hp whereas in the near future there will be 2 "new" powerplants, the 4l and the 4.8l.
It is a matter of the point of view. |
Styling. What about the styling? IMO this new style is bogus. The current M3 is the most sexy. The new M5 is fantastic engineering-wise but falls short styling-wise. The rims it comes with are dull.
Hopefully someone can tell me that BMW will be starting to shy away from the 'Bangle' design. |
the 4.8 is already in the X5 4.8is though. so really, it should read 5er and 6er to get X5 4.8
but as for the 4.0, i don't think that is going to be resurrected outside of the E90 M3 engine. that would create too much confusion, bringing in 540 so that the lines would go 525, 530, 540 and 545; 640, 645; 740, 745, 750 and 760 so how much of a cluster fuck that would be? |
