hmm...this is an interesting turn of events. It surprises me that Getrag didn't have a transmission capable of handling the M5's power already
but i guess they have to tweak the gear ratios a little bit now that there is only 6 gears. They'll probably raise 6 to compensate.
I hope the majority of M5 buyers will opt for the 7 speed SMG though. I'm not so sure i want to pull that transmission out when someone smokes the clutch after dumping it from 5 grand
(oh c'mon, you know SOMEONE will) But then again, it's a good excuse to run the engine with open headers...
