Default M5 drive

OK, as I promised when I wrote a few words about 911 Cabrio drive, here are some impressions about BMW M5:
All in all it's a great cer, cant say anything else. When you leave the engine in 400 HP mode it's comparable to quite a few supersloons, but when you push the Power button, it's out of this world ... Performance above 200 kph is better than in 911 or Maser coupe. Unfortunately it was wet and cold when I drove it (I hope wether will be better nex week, I'll call you then, komotar), so ESP was cutting in at 200+ kph (I got pretty sideway at that speed once or twice when I turned it off), but the car is extremly controlable & driftable.
It's a pitty that it's limited to 250 kph, speedo was showing 269 to 273 (on HUD), it would easiliy go 300+ ...
2 vids from highway, in one i got to top speed ... 1 vid so you can hear the engine, another one from my mobile accelerating from 40 - 240 kph. The plinking noise is the computer warning thet the tires are limited to 210 kph (winter tires) ...

NICE work! Thanks for the read. I missed how you managed to score this ride, are you reviewing cars or something? I agree it will be cool to push the car further when the roads are dry Thanks for the post, keep us updated w/ any other facts or insights you may have.

Thx for the update. I'm looking forward to your call.

If you don't mind, I'll bring my camera, to snap a few shots and maybe make a short vid.

The engine sounds rasp and agressive. I see you hit the Ljubljana-Vodice route. Cool 8)

All this freakin' snow is making me crazy. I hope next week will be better.

Slišmo.

Thanks for the videos - it definitely has an engine note similar to the e46 M3, but somehow more aggressive and refined. How did you manage to film and drive that fast?!

Onlookers, of which there are many, seem relieved when the livid red Ferrari skims into view, happier still when they see it's driven by a friendly Italian, and not, as the thunderous sound effects suggested, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." the M GmbH HQ offers potential M5 buyers to test drive the M5. not sure if that's how you get to drive the car.

thanks for the video!
