Actually, the thing about evos and Imprezas is taht they are so user friendly that even with modest power, they humble most cars on a real world road. You can carry so much speed into a corner that an opponent needs a massive power advantage to catch up on the straights - and going seriously fast on a public road is just stupid. So an average joe like us would end up using 80% of the potential in a car like this, or 50% of the potential in an exotic supercar.
Now, add power to the already fast evo or preza... things get ugly real fast. At a track day in may, a friend of mine and I humiliated a F360, a couple of 911 (including 993"RS"), a bunch of tuned Cossies, BMWs and Audis around the Våler track north of Oslo, Norway. Sure, since the Impreza was just BPU (250-260hp) on RE540s at the time some of the cars would fly by down the straight, but who cares when you can pass them on the putside and pull out a good 100m on the rest og the lap?
Cant wait till spring, just put some Stoptech 330mm brakes on the preza.

And a buddy just got an equal length header and VF22 turbo on his, now it pulls 1.0 bar right into the limiter. Funny, the third gear did'nt enjoy that for very long
