Default Can you figure this one out?

1. what kind of transmission is this?
2. What car/cars did this come out of?
3. How many gears? 5 speed (TigerX)
4. (kind of vague) Transmission or Transaxle?
5. AWD/RWD/FWD?
BONUS: what series number is it?

HINT if you have a really good comp you might be able to zoom and read the brand off the Synchros.

Good luck with this one.

It would say a transmission, directly mounted on the engine and 4wd since the pinion is mounted on the output shaft. If this one is hollow it could possibly be out of an Audi Quattro or at least a manual Audi with the real Quattro system with Torsen central differential.

If this isn't correct I would guess it's a rear mounted transmission (front mounted engine) with directly mounted rear differential.
