Well - that was a different time... -- this last one happened a couple weeks ago...  ops:
Didn't see the DPS till I was commited and rolling through the intersection...
A really stupid lapse in sanity - but hey, if you wanna play.. you have to be prepared to pay...

thankfully it's not like that here the other day I hit the gas too hard to get out infront of a cop and spun the tires in the process but he didn't do anything about it.

WTF are you smoking dude? The fact is, when you have a blowout in your car, you won't know if it's the front or the rear, nor which side it is before it happens. You can have a blowout on perfectly good tires too, it depends on how you're using/abusing them and what sort of debris is on the road, the road surface can even play a role. The idea that you and your buddies will be able to control their vehicles in the event of a catastrophic equipment failure is wishful thinking at the best. If F1 drivers lose it when they have blowouts, if SCCA certified drivers lose it when they suffer blowouts, how the hell can you say that you'll be able to control your cars? I've watched enough videos and been to enough races that ended badly that I know not to do stupid shit like you're doing. You are also only partially correct about the police involvement as far as it regards racing on private property. Should they get a complaint of any sort about the event, the traffic it brings, the noise it makes etc...etc... they can and will shut you down in one way or another, even if it is merely to satisfy the noise violation.

you guys sure like to argue
we are out in the middle of nowhere....no niose violations....
there isnt alot of traffic...its in the middle of no where
we dont do stupid shit, you stupid shit. read my posts...
and its not like we are running 9 sec quarters.
i have had blowouts from 30mph-80mph and i done just fine, and thats in cars taht dont like blowouts....
what we do is safer than at a track (closer to a hospital than the tracks that we do have, no crowd to worry about, and nice rough grippy asphalt)
so i am not "smoking" anything, you need to grow up and learn to read posts before attacking someone who has been doing this for years and years on end

Growing up would be doing the right thing and not needlessly endangering yourselves. I've been to my fair share of races and won't go to them anymore because I saw what can happen when in "safe" conditions things go wrong. I have been reading your posts, but the fact is that you haven't really proven anything of worth, nor of any valid safety. It'll only take one mistake, or one failure and you'll see where it is from which I'm coming.

maybe you cant drive or handle a car in an emergency situation, but i can, with the friends i race with.
what we do is safe, organized, and fun.

I'm no Tiff Needell, but I'm not bad behind the wheel man. I've not had to deal with a blowout yet and I'm not looking forward to my first, but I do know not to put myself in situations where that sort of thing is likely to happen. You need to read MY posts a little more carefully, I only said that I've seen what can (and does) happen when things like blowouts happen at high speed.
