I am collecting the keys to my new home tomorrow but I wont be moving in for a few weeks while my builders re-decorate the place and extend the garage area to make room for some future cars.

I might add a sign on the main gates "JABBAS WORLD" I am also trying to get the farmer who owns the field next to me to sell me a few more acres of land so that I can build a quad / go kart track (perhaps for some future JW events  )

Anyway I might not be on JW quite so much over the next few days but TT and FF will take good care of business as usual (thanks guys) 8)

HOpe you got a good deal on the house, cause that look mighty expensive.

sadly as anyone will tell you from the UK..... house prices are currently ridiculous.

I didn't get much change out of £1 Million after extras, taxes and fees...to think I could have had an F40, F50, Enzo and a Zonda instead...kinda makes the cars seem pretty good value when you look at it like that.

Nice place you have there! If you make a go cart track, buy an RC Nitro car lol that would be cool! Hope everything goes well. Hope to have the picture of your new garage with your cars soon so that I can re-design your xmas present.

Is the garage seperate from the rest of the house?

Yes here you can see how the buildings are seperate at the moment but my future plans are to join them all up so that the cars will be actually contained in the house and will be displayed under spot lighting etc.

You're not wrong there. Our weather is very unpredictable....enclosing the pool for indoor use is on the "to do list"

Just over one acre now and I am trying to get another four...Yes I know its tiny for the US and Australia but remember that California is bigger than the whole of our country so things are on a much smaller scale here.

It has taken me well over a year to find somewhere that has everything I was looking for whilst still being local to my offices.

It needs some work doing on it but I guess its just a case of being patient and hopefully it can all be finished in time for the summer.

Especially looking forward to getting the cars over there at the weekend though what with all the snow were currently having.

Congratulations on the new house, Jabba! It looks absolutely great. To me it already looks perfect, but I'm sure it will be even better when you're done with it. Good luck with the move. It's one of the things I really really hate, so I don't envy you there.

The kart track is the best plan I've heard in years. It would be awesome to race with a couple of friends.

Thanks for all the great feedback everyone...its so nice to be able to share my projects with such a great community on JW.

My plans for inside are a basic re-decoration to begin with and then to see what other ideas come to mind once I have had a chance to think everything through.

Great place you got there Jabba, looks very nice and with the yellow and red in the driveway it will look even better.

I see that you got a rottweiler there is that your dog? I absolutly love the rottweilers great dogs.
Hope you get settled without to much hassle, moving is a pain in the ass.

I really look forward to pics when you are settled and how the monster comp will look in its new home....... :D

thanks for sharing.

The owner wants me to have those dogs....but even though I have had lots of other dogs...those ones (as I am sure you know) are a different ball game...

I really do think they could do you some serious damage if they wanted to and they are kinda "programmed" for the current owner and I think would see me more as the intruder....so I think if I am going to have some...it might be best to start with some pups that only "know" their first and only owner.

TT
01-29-2004, 02:20 PM
IMO it would be crazy to accept the dogs.. they are no more puppies and the owner shouldn't even ask you something like that... would be a big mistake, but I hope he actually loves them at least! Or just uses them as weapons?

Beautiful House Jabba! Can't wait to see the pics of the house after the renovations. Maybe a future endevour for you could be getting a racetrack beside the house so you can go for a few laps in the diablo when you're bored ;)

Jabba
01-29-2004, 02:23 PM
but I hope he actually loves them at least! Or just uses them as weapons?

Thats what I dont like...he seems to be very mean towards them...and surely if he is ready to hand them over to me for free...then there is either something wrong with them or he is scared of them or something.

Talking about rottweilers and transferring owners .. i was in the same situation when i was living in Cape town a few years ago. living alone in a big house (was house sitting so i just had to pay the food and phone bills) and the owner left his rottweiler behind ... slightly blind animal- so he used to bull charge everything that moved.. for the first month i used to drive in through the remote gate, run to the kitchen door and lock myself in. Feeding time i would chuck his food out the window, all the time he would be growling and trying to break down the door!

After a month of this I eventually plucked the courage and tried to make friends. Got a tennis ball and threw it out the window - the beast was not so stupid he actually ran and fetched it, left it at the door and walked away ... this continued for over an hour and since that day i could walk in peace provided i had his tennis ball to play fetch. He would still growl everytime i fed him, though now he would wag his stump!

He stopped the growling and snarling after 3 months .. to this day he still gets excited when i go up there to visit, gets his tennis ball wanting to play fetch!

His owner was shocked when i told him this story coz he says that he was always trained to kill and maim and was never socialized or played with...
un-fucking-believable  - i could have been mince meat!

CONGRATS Jabba thats a huge piece of land!!
if you make a kart track it would be soo soo cool!
btw what kart do u have?

Toronto
01-29-2004, 07:14 PM
^^^^ you could make it free no?
you and a couple buddies take a week end and move the dirt around, kart track might cost some money, because you would have to pay paving it

01-29-2004, 07:27 PM
First let me congratulate you on that purchase. IMO if you like it, and you damn well should :P you can't go wrong with something like this!!

excellent idea of making kind off a MTV-cribs video!

I wish you the best of luck with everything going on with your house. It will cost you a lot of effort, money & time but seeing your own dream house becoming reality is one of the nicest things in life IMO. So enjoy

Congrats Jabba, the house looks fantastic. I like the open yard with the pool, lots of room to play on. It seems you are happy, I'm glad to hear that! Have fun moving with your post whore syndrome!

If I were you, I'd keep the dogs! My sister has had a Rottwieler for a few years now, it's a great dog. And Great Danes, holy crap they are huge. A friend has a big black one, bastard weighs more than me. I think it's at 220lbs or so. Freakin huge!

Great house Jabba, now all you need to do is to invite VB-H over and race her on your go-kart track and then show us the video, sweet. Congratulations about the purchase and all the toys that are going to be going with it. Personally, I won't take those dogs at all, someone with those types of dogs in that neighbourhood just doesn't fit right

You should take pictures of the parts you want to change from your mansion and take more as the project progresses. It would be cool to see how the garage widens and then how it fills with cars. I mean, once its done, you could take a picture of the garage empty, then park the 355 then picture then the diablo then picture etc etc.

You should take pictures of the parts you want to change from your mansion and take more as the project progresses. It would be cool to see how the garage widens and then how it fills with cars. I mean, once its done, you could take a picture of the garage empty, then park the 355 then picture then the diablo then picture etc etc.

OK well I guess we have got to start somewhere....I am sure it will look alot different once its finished in rosso red and super fly yellow and plenty of car related material hanging on the walls :D

It was not you I am worried about, firstly it is not really my place to say anything more than what I said, and secondly, a lot of random people can read this. I am on another forum which is more UK based, but there was a period of time that the forum was used as a 'shopping list'. There were some destinctive cars and all you had to do was look at the profile to find the area and bang, they went. Jabba's cars are hardly subtle and once you pin down an area combined with the photos of the house it would not take too much to figure out where, who what and when if you catch my drift. As I say it is not you, but unfortunately there are fuckers out therre watching us :x

Damn, that is a lot of money. I agree that the F50 is a fantastic car and I think it's probably more fun to drive then the Enzo (paddle shift) & it's a spider. And you definitly like spiders don't you ;-) But for that money you could also get a new Zonda C12-S with 550 to 600hp. It depends up to your taste of course but if I really had the choice between the two, I think I would go for the Zonda...

And if you run out of room in your garage you can allways come and park one in my garage... plenty of room :-p oh and I would of course have to take them out for a spin from time to time 8)

things with your house are going good apparently. It would be nice if it's finished before the summer don't you think. When I look at those pics I can allready imagine the babes in bikinis on the picture :-)

Wow, amazing place. I have to admit, you really live the life (and here's to your success :)). Also, the F50 would be an amazing addition to the collection. Honestly, I've always thought it was rediculous that it's considered the "bad" ultimate Ferrari by many. Although it may not have been quite as utilitarian as the McLaren F1, I think it's far more a track car than any other Ferrari (including the Enzo, which went kind of heavy and soft in comparison). Plus you'd own a bit of Alain Prost!

(Btw, haven't been around on JW for the last bit due to stupid life-draining school . I'm hoping to get back into things as reading week is coming up [w00t].)

LOL, it just popped into my head. I figured it would be the best way to strip all the gunk out from between the bricks.
If there is a lot of greasy buildup on them try adding a solvent called Simple Green in with the water in the sprayer. The stuff removes everything. But then you'll have to go back with a hose and wash away all the suds afterwards.

I know mate, sum bastard ran up our back drive whilst my mum was taking shopping into house not so long ago, jumped into the m3 and tried to start it, luckily immobilised but key still in ignition, so she ran out, confronted him, he (luckily) chose to run off, (thank god he didnt do nything else) but took the key. It shook my mum up, and my dad was ready to run the bloke over in the landrover, if he saw him runnin down the road. We now have a pick axe handle strategically placed next to our back door, and if sumone tried it again i'd have no quibbles wiv breaking the motherfuckers legs!

i dunno if id worry about posting where u live..chances are everyone in ur neighborhood and some people that shop at the same grocery store u do know wher eu love

its not that hard to fallow a bright yellow lambo at a distance either

if they want to steal ur car there going to steal ur car and theres little to nothing u can do about it aside from fill the interior with cement

u just have to make the alarms and fances and such take more effort to get past then they are willing to put out

its like my stereo in my car i am kinda worried about it being stolen but after the first week i stopped checking on every noise because if someone really really wanted it..it would be gone before i knew it =(

Exactly, but I would not show where I live anyways, just incase 8)

In Britain there is plenty of Lambos, porsches ferraris and other beautiful staff, so if sombody want to steal a car, they even can choose a colour 8) not like here in Czech, 3-5 Lambos(just an exaple) in whole country

I love the wood work, the stair case looks very nice, and the windows and door surrounds are lovely, i really like that look, its quite like we went for in our extension on our house a couple years ago, just we have square leaded light windows rather than the dimond ones.
Is all your wood work oak in a light oak finish? I think we went a little darker (medium oak) but it gives a nice light air to your house.

Don't worry about it! We all understand.

I'm sure it'll turn out great when you are done with it! I can't wait to see it all finished and most of all, I hope you will be happy when it's all said and done!

How many Square meter it has ?

To answer this question that everyone seems to want to know the answer to.

To be honest I don't really know how many sq metres or feet it is...it was never quoted to me...so I guess I will have to have a measure up when I get a chance.

I can confirm that it is big enough for the Jabba to live very comfortably in however..

Thats how things should be done, first get the cars, then get the cool house. My father got the big 3 story house first and the cars suck =(.

-87 Honda Integra (My mother's car which is totally a wrek for so many crashes and bad mechanic labour done to it)

-93 Honda Legend (My father's car.)

-94 Toyota Land Cruiser (My father sell's car parts and he needs an SUV - if it can be called that, cuz it is as big and slow as a tank - to take those parts)

-67 230.6 w115 (My brother's car which stopped working a long time ago, but was fixed because my brother liked it)Legend 9? Toyota Land Cruiser 67 Merc Benz)

Anyway, the roads in my country can destroy ANY car so I guess its better to have a big house than cool cars. (NOT I rather have cars lol)

-85 Hondar Prelude (My car, I love that car even though is so old. My father gave it to me as my Xmas present when I was 2 years old. I used to watch the comersial of that car in the TV and would not move from the TV. Being the first son, I got ti fast lol.)

I live in a very low crime area, so we didnt consider safety when we bought ours, one of the nice things by living in the country side.

There are ways around it...and of course the more you use it...the quicker you get at setting it up...I guess it takes me around three minutes from driving the car onto the base to leaving it to inflate...which is about another five minutes....
