Default Ring Time (30-10-2005)

I know I haven't yet posted all pics of my previous ring visits, but by accident I've edited the pics of this ring visit so here they are.

For a change I will just post some lowres previews on this page. But if you click on the pics you will be linked to a page with all the thumbnails of pics and links to the highres versions. I thought it would be better to show you a few 10 bigger pics on this page instead of hundreds of thumbnails. If you don't agree with this theory, just let me know

You also have to excuse me for the picture quality this time. I accidentally shot every picture in ISO 1000. I only noticed this by the end of the day when it already was getting dark.

Let's start with Sabine, pusing the Ring-Taxi to the limit:

On of the most special cars around that day was this Ford GT40. I'm not really a conniusseur of GT40's, but I've a huge fealing this is not the real thing, just a replica:

Porsches are everywhere on the ring, and it wasn't a chance this day. Even a new Cayman S was lapping the track:

The autumn was clearly beginning to show at the ring: leaves were falling on the track. Very idyllic when a typical ring-car like a GT3 is passing

Of course some GT3 RS's were present as well:

I only saw three 996 GT2's this time; one standard model, the one from EDO competition and this GT2 "RS":

This time Ferrari was better represented compared to other weekends. This 360 was lapping quite often:

And at some point during the day I saw this 360 CS doing lap after lap. Th driver sure had ring fever

With the nice weather a yellow F430 Spider turned up:

Suprisingly two Z8's, not exactly track cars, were having fun on the track as well:

And to finish with this nose combo shot of two BMW 850i:

Very nice impressions, thanks Wutputt for the pics
The yellow Cayman is very, very nice, I saw the same colored car at the car SHow and it is IMO the best color I saw so far for a Cayman ( the dark blue one at the IAA was not bad either)

There reason why it's allowed: the Nordschleife officially is a public road. So helmets aren't allowed. On the other hand, it isn't allowed to pass on the right side. The rules on the ring are a bit different compared to a normal track.

It's simple, I saved all your Porsche pictures from Nordschleife.

Thanks a lot Wutputt.

I love the new format too, I say keep it this way. :good:

Another great trip to the 'Ring, and as usual you came back with some great pics. A couple of nice Ferraris, but also good to see a V8 Aussie out on the track.
