Default SOYO motherboard help

So I recently got a Soyo KT600 Dragon Plus AMD motherboard but im having problems with it booting up. Everything gets detected but my processer is read at 1800+ rather than 2400+. Anyone have any ideas so I can bypass this and fix it within the Bios or set up. Or should I Flash the bios and upgrade it. Hmm...im out of ideas.

Is it a new motherboard (as in has it been on the market for long) ?? I pressume updating your Bios should help...

and there is a second option...well...I dunno if you are aware of this...but AMD is using a marketing technique...they name their proc's according to the equivalent Pentium 4 Processor. Although as far as I know the 2400+version has 2000Mhz...

Yeah, I think updating the bios sounds like a good idea. Guess I'll do that later on today. As for the MHz of the AMD processors I was already aware of that. Although it may be only 2000mhz...its still pretty fast. At least this board can run up to 3200+. Anyone else have some advice?

you have no idea. I already tried that. Doesnt seem to want to change. So I dont know what else to do unless someone else can offer me anything else they can think of.
