^U gotta be kidding me, Faster than an Enzo?? Keep up with a CGT??

The performance of the Ford GT will prolly be a ted faster than a Viper if not on par.

Enzo in a 1/4 mile not in top speed.(with a few adjustments)

CGT, yes it keeps a lil on its ass then passes it in top speed

you seem to be underestimating to Ford GT a tad bit faster than the viper?
maybe with the original exhaust system and not with a boke in engine vs. a viper with a broke in engine.

(not trying to get in a flaming just stating the facts.)

I can't seem to find the articles but they managed a 9.9 second run with a 3mm shorter belter and drag racing radials(that actualy performed worst than stock tires)

From the link you've provided, I guess u are only talking about straight line performance. In that case, yes, it will be quite similar in performance. If it is in a circuit enviroment, in many vids and reviews, you will see the suspension tuning of the Ford GT cannot be on the same chapter as the Enzo and the CGT.

The Ford GT gets its performance from a supercharger, and they tend to provide grunt in the low-mid range, and slack off on the top end.

Not sure what you are getting at - everyone and their uncle thinks the new Z06 should not cost more than $60K - it's not worth any more.

Truth be known, a 911 TT is not worth $130K - but that's what it costs.

An Enzo is not worth $700K let alon $1-million.

The value is not a measure of the cost or the sum of the parts - but rather what the "people" perceive as the value - that doesn't MAKE it worth that.

In fact, a painting that has $100 worth of material in it selling for millions is just a PERCEIVED value - not real.

And things change in value.

In the late 1980's you could not buy a used Testarossa for less than $500,000 - let alone a new one. Now they barely fetch $70K.

False, hyped demand by the wealthy does not mean actual value.

So - with that being said, the guy who drops $300K on a Ford GT and never drives it has not "made a value purchase" - he is speculating on the value of the car as an investment and wants to flip it for profit.

The guy who buys a Diablo or F355 to enjoy on the odd weekend jaunt such as Jabba does is the true auto enthusiast, who like the rest of us is kept away from the cars we will really appreciate because of the stupid rich and speculators.

Buys like Mikes dad who can easily afford to buy an Enzo for every day of the week, but only choose the cars that really appeal to them (such as his Enzo, F50 and soon 575GTHC) are the dream enthusiasts - who have the taste and money AND desire to enjoy the few cars they do buy.

The punter wo pays $90K for a new C6 Z06 when the car will be worth $50K in 2 years just has more money than sense and wants one at any cost.

"Worth" is a very tricky word. There's demand, and there's supply and the retail price of a product is based finely on that.

The reason why a 911 TT is 130K and not 80K is becoz there are more ppl thinking it's worth and can afford that amount than ppl thinking it's not worth or not able to afford that amount.

It is stupid for dealers to keep the price at a level that majority of ppl think it's not worth the price. No one is saying they are only worth 60k, but if dealers aren't selling any (or many) at 200k, the car is definitely not worth 200k.

Makes me even more undecided for my major next year. Economics or Engineering...

My local Ford dealer, Micheal Stead Ford, has a yellow GT with black stripes. They won't let me see the inside. I've been told that a man with a Maybach came to look, and he was irate because they wouldn't let him sit in it. Their loss, I hope one day I can pick one of these up for less than 100k.
