not bad, I thought they'd be more expensive, not that it's cheap by any means for a car that old, but it's not that far away from a lifetime of saving heheh
you can always get both the F50 and the Miura/Countach at the same time...heheh

Just the annual service, fixed a blown fuse behind the stereo head unit, MOT, interior light...

Nothing major...just niggly stuff really. Still came to £797 though.

hehe 797 pounds...that's a Ferrari repair price....that's half of what i'm paying to get my Alfa's body totally rebuilt....it's amazing the price difference we get between here and Europe...specially the U.K. ...I guess that's a good thing when you get paid in U.S. dollars hehhe

Considering my last service for the 320i (with not even 60k km on the clock) costed 500+ GBP... I'd say that's very cheap for a Ferrari... and no, my car was perfectly fine

Yep it would have been more like £1500 at a main Ferrari dealer.

And mine would have been more like 200 if not done at a main BMW dealer

Well - BMW, Audi, Mercedes (not to mention Ferrari and Lambo) are notoriusly expensive to service...

There is no excuse for a commuter car to have a $750 service bill.

Service should be oil/plugs/filters/belts at the worst. What did they have to replace TT?

wow!!
what a rip off! considering I can usually arange the bill with my mechanic with a bottle of wine or grappa or he just charges me dirt cheap....on the other hand...my mom's scenic gets serviced at the main dealer and the difference in service is huge....there are many amateurs around here that are used to fixing old fiat uno's and other old cars, that when they get their hands on a newer car like my mom's they usually make a mess of it

TT - what did they do? ANd what was the labour rate?

Over here, a scheduled maintenance service is either very low or no cost while under warranty - or a fixed %75 or $125 or such for a 60,000 mile service etc.

One needs to be very sure to NOT let the garage trick you into "We know you came in for $75 plug and filter change, but we noticed your headlight fluid was low and we had to adjust your thrust capacitor and deflux you head bolts.

Oh and the A/C unit needs a blowjob - that will be $768.00 - Thank You."

Well, the list is long, I could scan the papers (two pages) but it's in french and no idea where I put it anyway

But you know, all the usual stupid things like fixing a little light here, a piece of plastic on the belt there, an indicator light, oil levels and such... labour rate is something like 80 USD / hour in most main garages.

And be sure, I told them what NOT to do or else it would have been even more I fear

Yeah, im sick of overpriced service bills, im trying to find time at the moment to fit my new discs and pads all round, and a new drop link on my front suspension (hopefully should cure annoying clunking!), then sending the car off for its 50k 'service' where nothing extra should need doing and i'll still get the book stamped!
