That article was pretty good, and I think I agree with the overall conclusion, but it had a few odd things in it. For example they state several times that for all out performance the Enzo was the superior car.
Not really an odd thing to say, but the recent C&D test would seem to indicate that the Enzo doesn't have much on the CGT. Then again who knows what it is like on the same day on the same surface.
What seemed more odd too me though, was the comparison between the CGT and SLR. They claimed the CGT could not keep up with the more powerful SLR because the SLR had a .1 second advantage to 60 in the factory estimates.
Not exactly concrete and every test I have ever seen puts the CGT ahead of the SLR in pace, especially that new C&D test. That is something that should have been noticed after taking the cars for a road test and COMPARISON.

Am I wrong when i think that C&D = Car and Driver ? Because i didn't see a C&D test of the CGT recently, did i miss something ? (possible as i live in France )
Thanks for the scans CarreraGT

Here is a link to the thread with the C&D test.
http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10212
It is pretty damn quick.
0-60 of 3.5 is not quite as quick as 3.1 for the Enzo, but 6.8 is very close to 6.6(or 6.5) and the 1/4 mile of 11.2@133 is insanely close to the Enzo which did 11.1@138
Past there the Enzo seems to pull away a little Enzo to 130 is 10.3 and the Carrera GT is 10.8, but the CGTs speed still surprised me. It is the only normal car to even come close to the Enzo or F1.

That was the Autoexpress test. The motortrend test I believe was done with adjustments and such because they never once actually mention getting a 3.14 second 0-60 when testing it. They mention some other times.
I suppose 3.28 isn't bad from R&T. The thing about C&D is they don't feel the Enzo test was comprehensive enough to even put "tested" next to the Enzo test which they did with the S7 and Lambo.
They did say the Enzo test was not concrete, and they didn't do any adjustments based on temp etc...... Still obviously pretty good info, but I think they should wait for a real test before comparing the CGT to the Enzo in their article.
The big thing for me though was braking. Of all the things that should be tested on a normal surface braking/skidpad/slalom is it.

Erm... Typical autoexpress stuff. Thx for the scans but what's the point to take "Value of money" into equation for these exotics?I know autoexpress it's expert on family cars but on who cares about "Value of money" in this group?
And if u want to talk about "Value after 5/10 years", ENZO will be the best buy.
