i like this car and all but i like the Gullwing even more  its a classic to me not this one and i dont like the front lights

I onces sat in a gullwing.. dates to the 1950's .. And seriously the car looks much cleaner than my 03 nissan..lol..  The car was amazingly beautiful.. and it was up for sale for 1.5Million Dhs.. that's about 407,608 US doller Aoochh..

I remember reading that the convertible was better handling car than the Gullwing. The Gullwing did not suffer fools gladly - to put it mildly - and was prone to severe lift throttle oversteer that would catch drivers unwary. The roadster's rear swing axle was reworked to counter this and was a sweeter handler.
The 300SL is one of the few cars where I prefer the convertible version over the coupe.
thanks for the cool pictures - i especially like the third last one with an overhead comparo of the 500SL and 300SL roadster. No-one can ever call the new SL ugly but the old one easily shades with awesome character lines - check out the hood and rear. Timeless classic....
