Nobody knows who The Stig is... so let's say it's a book written by D. Hill...

Do a search on google with his name and stig, there are various sources claiming he's the Stig.

It's a great marketing scheme, though. Spreading a rumour that this is actually the Stig and that book will SELL, SELL, SELL!

Could be, but none of the places i saw that he was the stig mentioned the book, It was even mentioned in TV when he wass running in Le Mans.

anyways i'd buy that book even if he wasn't the stig seems like a good read. Here's some background on Perry.

hmm...I thought it was pretty obvious that the stig was Tiff Needell....the way Jeremy talks about the stig just gives it away imo....

Uhm.. we already discussed it to death but IMO, it would be impossible for Tiff to work for BBC, even if disguised... I seriously doubt Channel 5 would allow, and I don't see him sneaking in BBC building Metal Gear's style, not to be seen...

Well, 5th Gear and Top Gear are similar programs on different channels.. even if I think every body watch both, I still don't think Channel 5 would let Tiff works also for the other show.. not even with a black helmet IMO...
