Ferrari wants to improve performance of the F2004.
Three great prix, three victories for Michael Schumacher, three victories for Ferrari.
Despite this, technical director Russ Brown disclosed this Wednesday that intends to present in next the Fórmula 1 Great Prix, in Imola, a superior car to the one that won in Bahrain.
In interview to the Motosport News, Russ Brown said that Ferrari will "present new modifications in Imola ", and that there aren’t any reasons why Ferrari shouldn’t continue improving the F2004.
For the technical director of Ferrari, Bar-Honda "is a dangerous team” considering that it is the best one of that t uses Michelin tires.

Even more??? At the moment, they are the best team... If the cars go as fast as hell, why would they want to put some more modifications?

Technological advancement is the cornerstone of F1, one of its defining features. Think back to the Lotus 49 (ground effect), the Brabham BR-46 Fan Car, the FW14C(active suspension etc), all F1 cars that had technological breakthroughs, and helped push F1 forward.
Without this ever increasing amount of technological development, then F1 would be nothing more than a race series with no heritage, history or benefit to the consumer (carbon brakes, like those on the Enzo, BMW's move to a V-10 for the M5 to establish a direct link with their F1 programme etc).
The fact that more and more omoney is being spent is not only from a need to compete and do more R&D, but also due to inflation.
I am glad, in an objective way, that Ferrari want to improve their car, because it helps push the other teams to higher levels as well. It was because Ferrari got smacked by Williams in 96, 97 and Mclaren (98,99), that resulted in an amazing push for technological superiority to help make sure they wouldnt lose. And of course, they had Schumi.
All Ferrari are doing is throwing down the ganutlet. The other teams have to play catch up, and this i accept. I only hope that it will be BMW-Williams that thrash them at the end of the day.

Speaking of Ferrari domination, I just found this quote on f1live very ammusing lol "Ferrari was so far ahead of its rivals that the biggest interest was in how they orchestrated the finish."

if ferrari is intimidated by BAR, then thats a massive compalent for ferrari to pay to BAR, spose getting 2 podiums in 2 races is quite impressive.
but i think ferrari will just be rubbing salt into the other teams by shattering even more lap times, and records!

We'll have to wait and see. It would certainly be interesting if Ferrari takes 1st and 2nd and wins by a lap.

Ferrari is not the fastest car is straight line speeds at the moment, i think they want to improve the car, not the wins. their drivers are very good that is why they get fast laps, they would kill the other teams, if they can make their cars faster then the other teams.
