Default The best students car!! ( that your dady didnt buy!!)

Hey guys ... what kind of ride do you have if your a student...and if not...what did you have when you were!!!

I am still a student..and I drive a 1990 Chev Beretta GTZ....it has a 4 cyl twin cam engine that produces 180 hp & 160 lb-ft when stock...it dynoed at the wheels 153 hp and 141 lbft...the tourque went up when I put on 2.5 inch exhaust all the way.....the tourque comes in at 120 lbft at 2200 rpm!!!!....and the gearing is very tall I can hit 160 km/h in third @ 7000 rpm and the top speed is very very close to 225 km/h (140 Mph) in fourth gear ( severely needs closer ratio's). It does the 1/4 mile in 15.414 @ 92 Mph...at least that was my best run....and all I have to do is shift only till 3rd gear!!! I have tried to shift into 4th..but it doesnt come close.....

I do some SoloII racing and a road track racing school with it....the front sway bars are direct link and are very very good....I know its a chevy.....and their known for severe understeer but mine is taken care of........its a great students car......I have had no problems except electrical..(rust and grounding!!!!) I could have pictures of it racing..but how do I put up pictures????

I rode a 1983 Yamaha RD350YPVS...

Me mum let me buy it because it was only a 350..

I told her it was the "perfect learners bike" - That's the ticket - a 50hp power valve 2-stroke learner..

I had a Peugeot 106 1.4 ... nothing special really, but better than nothing

Here it is in one of the early stages, with just new rims and slighly lowered (Remus muffler too)

edit - not really on-topic since my parents paid for it...

hey RC, the same bike in your pic was sold as the Yamaha RD 350 LC( Liquid Cooled) in India. my cousin still ones one..minus the headlight fairing. sadly enough the emission regulations killed the selling of these bikes in india. it still holds a sort of cult status among bikers here..with the LCs being very rare.
funny enough they are still the most powerful bikes ever sold in india, without taking imports into consideration of course.

Well i have been driving a Fiat Palio 1.6 GTX..it makes a 100 BHP and about 14 KG-M of torque. no dynos around here. and for that matter no 1/4 mile times either.
but it does touch 62 mph in a shade over 10 seconds from a standstill. pretty good by indian standards.

Who paid for all these cars? You are 18 and already bought yourself almost 10 cars?
