Default FERRARI 348 ELABORAZIONE

A forgotten special by Zagato: the Ferrari 348 Elaborazione. Only around 20 have been made. The engine and chassis aren't modified, because Zagato didn't want to go through all the tests to get it registered for such a small production run.

Although not every detail on the car is spot on, Zagato deserves a lot of credit for this one. It was designed in 1991, when the Ferrari F355 was still at least four years away. Pininfarina obviously got some ideas from this car for the F355, like the side air intakes and rear lights without the slats the 348 and Testarossa had. Then there's the return of the round rear lights, although it were six instead of four. You can almost see the F355 shine through in this 348. Also note the glass engine cover that we see with today's 360 Modena. I personally like the GTO style air vents in the rear and the traditional Zagato 'double bubble' in the roof as well. Around 1991/1992 I saw one of these cars in real life and to me at the time it was the ultimate Ferrari (save maybe the F40). I still adore it today and I hope you will too.

hmm wat should I think of this... never seen of heard of it before, great one stradale!!
In my opinion its ugly, the front 'smile' destroyes it completely, but it's great to see the small features that you can see on the later ferrari's, a nice add to the collection

I kinda like the rear light clusters and the 355's engine would have been better to look at than the one in the 348...very interesting indeed.
