The G Mercedes is the best 4WD ever!!! Especially with the 400 CDI engine...
...HUGE torque(560Nm)...its also a very classy car...deserves every penny!!!
As I heard it never breaks...someone had a 280 GE and sold it in a (good!!!)
running condition with 560,000 Km in it (he never had any problems with it)!!!

im sorry i love Range Rovers. Personally i think that the G class is great and the 400cdi engine makes it interesting. personally the noise of a flat windscreen would annoy me to death. besides the range rover's interior is much nicer. its my opinion anyway.

I think the Mercedes G is one of the best 4WD cars. Last year I visited Magna where the G is produced for Mercedes. There you can see a G55 AMG and the next one is a military version with nearly nothing in it and without roof. A lot of work is done by hand.
I could drive as a passenger with a testdriver of Magna in a G class on an offroad test track. It was really amazing how the testdriver drove this car.
And diesel engines are always better for offroad cars because they have their max torque at lower revs compared to otto engines.
And 3 differential locks are better than anything else for offroad driving
The austrian army has the G class (a version with nothing in it and very uncomfortable; i know it because i slept several times in it during my time in the army). But this ones are "Puch G".

I guess so,my father is independent so he only buys cars as a way of investement for his biznezz(Tax reduction), except only when we go on vacation and of course ME,
I think the world is a dangerous place where you need the right equipment to survive
