depends on the goal and the timing of the goal went to a game last night and the cheering for the fights were louder than the goals and that is the reason for fighting energy momentum shift.

I love a good brawl. Anyone who says fighting has no place in hockey is a homo.
One of my personal favorites is the Ray Emery Fight. Not the most brutal or badass, but I love the fact that ray is smiling the whole time!
Nice vid there SHIZL. reminds me of a slightly better one punch I saw a while back where both fighters dropped the gloves, got square, and then WHAM! to the ice.

In Europe fighting is not allowed but the games are still very interesting.

international rules no fighting. but where the game originated it does. anyway believe it or not it keeps the game clean (you make a dirty hit that could kill someone you have to answer to the tough guy)
this is very extreme but basically the guy (moore) who gets sucker punched in the back of the head by todd bertuzzi in the meeting before moore did a bad hit on eric lindros who was one of the top players of the league later retired early due to dirty players.

Im not saying hockey is not interesting without fighting. Hockey is my favorite sport on the planet. I used to play as well. Im just saying its another great aspect of the game. Cheap shots? No. Fair Fights, yes!

This may be part of why the rest of the world think we are nuts in America - well, hockey fights and the legal righ tto carry a loaded AK47 on the backseat of the car. LOL
