If that movie didn't bring a tear to your eye, you have no soul.

That statement is very telling about the poster.
Sorry pal, if you cant and wont appreciate and understand what the greatest generation did, you really dont deserve the freedom they left behind.
Perhaps you would have prefered Imperial Japan still rule the Pacific and Nazi Germany rule Europe.
I am done here for a while.

You didn't understand... I was talking about the plane not the heroes.
In this movie they seem to forget that there was some other great plane during WW2, the P51 was not alone and possibly not the best (IMO impossible to tell, too subjective).
There is no doubt that these WW2 soldiers are heroes. The same goes for other soldiers of other conflicts. I hope I made myself clear

And what about the Corsair, the Hellcat, the P38,... ?
The other side didn't have bad planes ether like the BF 109, the FW 190 or the Zero...
Again it's nearly impossible to compare these planes and decide which one is the best. They all have strength and weakness.
My favorites are the Spitfire (battle of Britain in mind...), the Corsair and the P51 (I agree the D is a good version).
