Default What´s your best 400m and 1000m times?

So i guess that some people have already drived their cars into a drag racetrack or just time trial. So, what´s your 1000m and 400m best times?

My best on the 1000m i guess it´s on the house of 28-29 seconds according to my friend´s clock. It was on his Audi A3 Turbo, 180 hp on wheels, almost 200 km/h on the 1000m dragstrip. Very nice

I did the quartermile with an Mazda RX-7 FD stock in 14,38 seconds and
101,6 mph. But the tyres were not warm and it was the first and only try.
I think i can go half a second faster......

nice...well it was a good time for the first attempt, cause the rx7 pass is about 13.2 seconds. It´s a car with a lot of wheelspin when reved a lot on dragstrip.

Camaro ran a 14.6 before the suspension at 92 mph.
After the suspension with some minor engine modifications she ran a 15.1 at 96-97 mph on a hot sweltering nite in july.
Being a road car I am not setup for traction. I still have plans to swap the engine so I haven't done much to the engine (though I am also considering selling it and building up a 4th gen, so who knows).
It'll never be a drag car though.
I haven't taken the 6 to the strip. And I didnt take the grand prix to the strip when I had it.

What's the point of "posting the numbers you guessed you did"?

In that case, I guess I could do the 400m in 9s with my wifes Ford Contour.

BTW, what are using to measure/clock your 400m and 1000m performances?

Mile posts? Street signs? Actual race tracks? .... or GT3....

Not a big fan of drag racing but yea, I took my Honda Prelude to a dragway once few years back. Ran few times on a 1/4 mile. My best time was 14.9 seconds. It wasn't fast at all.

haha my car probably wouldnt make it if i tried to drag it, but id guess it might put out a low 18 or 17 second run. maybe.
my truck was much better ( a lot more torque) even though it weighed a lot more. it got me a low 17 when i tried it out just for kicks.
