FERRARI SHOW. PICS (56k, beware)

Thursday last week I went to a Ferrari show held at a classic car dealer in Brummen. At first I didn't expect too much, but it turned out there were lots of beautiful cars both in the normal collection of cars that are for sale and in the special Ferrari collection. Good thing I brought my camera. Unfortunately the scanned pictures aren't as good as the printed ones, but I think you'll still like them. Some of the pictures are a bit too dark due to the sunlight. Furthermore, taking pictures wasn't easy because the cars were placed very close to one another and cords and information signs were often blocking the view.

First we looked at the regular collection, the cars that are for sale at The Gallery. Enough interesting cars there. I didn't take pictures of all the cars, so you just have to imagine the Alfa Romeo GT Juniors, Montreal, Jaguar XK120 etc. being there.

Sunbeam Tiger. Looks cute, but will probably bite your head off if given the chance.

Maserati Mistral. A car in very good condition. Too bad it was parked so close to the window I couldn't get a shot of the front of the car.

Ferrari 308 GT4. Not in pristine condition, but 22k does buy you a Ferrari this way.

We saved the best for last. After checking the regular collection out, we went to the first floor that held the Ferrari show. To be honest I expected a lot less than this.



Ferrari 275 GTB shortnose in excellent shape. Wow.


Ferrari 550 Maranello. Perfect. Tour de France Blue with tan upholstery and manual gearbox.

Ferrari 365 GTB/4. It was used every day, hence the stone chips on the front.

Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Prototype. This was a first for me as I had never seen one of these before. Only five were built and it looks like a 275 GTB with the rear of a Daytona or the other way round. Basically, it's the missing link between Ferraris of the sixties and Ferraris of the seventies.


Great looking 348 TS with red interior.

Ferrari Testarossa. Also note the panoramic rear window of the 250 GT Boano next to it.


Ferrari 250 GT Boano. Magnificent car. Participated in the 2003 Mille Miglia.

Ferrari 250 GT Lusso. I forgot to take a photo of the front. *hits himself in the head*

1/2 scale F1 car for kids. Apparently this thing was meant to be driven by kids from the age of four or higher. But it had a top speed of 60 km/h! Note the exhaust and disc brakes.

Ferrari Testarossa Koenig. I hated it, but I thought some JW members might like it, so I took a picture anyway.


Ferrari 360 Modena spider




275 NART spider. Originally this car was a GTB and was converted to NART spider. Still, probably the most stunning car I saw that day.

Very very nice collection indeed!

The best ones are the 3.0 CSL, the blue 355 and the 308 GT4.

And, the Koenigg Testarossa? EWWWWWWWWWW!

I have been there it is very nice even if you don't know all the cars it gives you a "shot" of what was built in those days.

Hey I have been there too. they had a nice collection indeed. I planned to make pictures, but the lighting made it impossible (for me, not for stradale).
I expected even more (rare) Ferraris to be there, because the Dutch Ferrari club cooperated with this ‘car dealer’.
There was very little information provided about the displayed cars, another setback.
And I only visited the basement for a few seconds, missing a lot of nice cars. But also preventing the shortening of my life by some years; the air there was very unhealthy.

Still it was worth visiting.

I expected a lot less. A fellow car nut asked me if I wanted to go, it wasn't even my own idea to visit the place. And I hadn't noticed that it was in collaboration with Ferrari Club Nederland. Of the displayed cars only four were named on the site so I expected a few cars and a lot of Ferrari memorabilia and lithographs. I decided to go because they also had a number of interesting cars for sale. All in all, it had more to do with luck that I visited, I guess.

I didn't notice the air in the basement, but maybe that was because the door was open.

It is at The Gallery in Brummen, which is owned by Aaldering indeed. The building is fairly new and on the website I read that they also have a workshop elsewhere in Brummen, so it could be that's where you've been.

yeah your right. I was in the other building for collecting some parts, I sure need to visit The Gallery soon!! they usually have some nice cars, I think all the cars they sell are visible in The Gallery, and the other building is now all workshop...

Unfortunately the Ferrari show ran till 1 february, so you won't see all the Ferraris there. Still, the regular collection is nice as well. http://www.thegallerybrummen.nl
