This weekend was the San Diego Speed Festival, i.e the classic car car racing and massive car show bonanza.
I went today with some friends and took a good amount of pictures. I tried to take video of the races but the track view didn't make them turn out too well.
I can only imagine how epic all of those old Trans Am cars must have sounded. Yea, I was out of town this weekend so I had no chance to make it. Thanks for the documentation!
i love how all the classic cars show their motors and tubing and wiring and then the cadillac... wut where's the engine under all that plastic?

That pic of the Ford GT40's tire is very misleading. It's roughly a foot and a half wide. I would guess 500+ in a tire rating width. Absolutely monstrous.
One of my favorite parts of the day was seeing this older dude with a t-shirt reading on the back.

I was like, this guy is gonna get in a fight some time today.
I wanted to get more pictures of the other groups of cars but they were either staging or out racing. The trans am group had just come in so I took the opportunity.
