Default M3 SMG Flash Animation

I was bored one day and made this flash movie. The sound is from a rolling start around 10mph; not going full throttle til 2nd gear. The rpm/speed/gear relationship is accurate. It's simple, but if you turn your speakers up and sit back you get a taste of the real thing. Enjoy

Sounds a bit different from the nurburg ring vid. The flash sounds more like a standard M3, not as throaty. Nice effort none the less!!

The sound is from using a MD recorder and a mic hanging from the rearview mirror.

Thats a nice bit of work there mate! What is the redline on m3's?? Looked like you were really pushing that quite hard on the upshifts!

SMG? why didnt you get a manual?

it surely was a hard job to make the flash match te sound huh? Tried messing arround with flash, waaay too time consuming. Photoshop is time consuming enough for me lol cant afford spending more time with other softwares.

m3 redlines at 7900

smg is good for track, and shifts faster and easier on dadily driving, IMO

That's an interesting animation =)

For that kind of thing, designing the speedometer and the rev's etc etc, and the to use in Flash, the best is FreeHand, that you can import directly to Flash and the make the animation.

Probably the most difficult thing here, was match the sound with the "pointers" and the movement that they have.

That's really well done. Very cool.

It doesn't sound like you quite hit redline in 4th though...
