Default Road Tests

I have always wondered this when Clarkson trashes on a Cayenne or Audi TT. Why would the company give him more cars to test if he is going to be as harsh as he was on the Cayenne? If I was Porsche I would tell never let Top Gear borrow a car again.

Ya, you have a point! He's just said he'd rather walk back to the studio then drive your 450hp cayenne. Why would they give him another car???????

Fuck I'd never turn down a Cayenne----I love that commercial!!!!

Isn't that the point of a road test.If you don't like the car you don't like it.At least he's not sucking up to them.Although anybody who would pick that Aston Martin over a 360 modena has to be biased in some way.

he alost gives out good reviews. if you get a good review, youll sell more cars! so car companys try to make the best car they can and then give it out to testers

They don't always get the car from the car company's, a lot of times they get them from ppl who ownes the car.

Free time on tv is free exposure. Good or bad it can't hurt too much. If you don't let them drive your car then you have no chance of getting a positive review.

Companies give the cars to shows so that people can see them it's that simple. they don't care if a truck gets trashed going offroad, the idea is to show people that it can go offroad.

You just posted what i was about to say !!! Further more is plain marketing as nowadays you have fierce competition you must take risks in order to sell !
