ok i was messing around on my Mac tonight and i found out how to hide all windows and deselect the program with a click of a button.
so you are on a program, Safari and your surfing the web at work and not doing work. your boss comes over. what to do.... well if you can see the desktop (you window isn't covering the whole screen) just hold option and click the desktop. poof the program and all its windows disappear. and you are just looking at your desktop or any other program that is open. and to get it back just click the program icon on the dock and everything comes back as it was.
