for 40'th anniversary BMW 2002tii rebuild
i am not very good in understanding german but as i understood they used 90% new parts for building it almost from scratch, that had to be very expensive to buy all original parts but was worth it

My uncle had one when he was young, same colour!
I love these projects, wish they would do more!

I'm gonna jus tsit back and reminisce about the good ol' 70s when this car was almost as cool as today and when I wasn't even born.

great job, respect to the creators and BMW for being able to supply the parts
some kliff notes from the movie clip
- BMW is able to supply 90% of all the parts. especially the parts that are important to pass the german TUV, so you can drive the car on the street
- BMW wanted to prove that it can supply the parts even for such old models
- the car took ~9 months to build
- the idea to build it started off as a joke, then they wanted to do it
- the color was chosen because it just fit nicely into the time preiod when the 2002 was built
- BMW can rebuild body panels for customers
