We were taking all parts home when we had Opel's so they more-less knew that we expect them to put them in the trunk after service. The only thing... wtf to do with those old parts? where to store or throw them away

18.900miles isn't that bad for brakes. BMW's will go through fronts on average every 15,000.

fluid on the pads can be a but worrying. Most commonly it's because the caliper is leaking brake fluid around the piston. But if they haven't replaced the caliper then that may not be it.

Squeals and groans are generally caused by glazed friction surfaces glazing over.

Grinding generally indicated that there is either a rock caught between the backing plate and rotor, a hard spot in the pad, wear sensor contacting the rotor or the pad backing plate has gone "metal to metal" and is grinding against the rotor.

I don't know what kind of oil could possibly be on your pads, unless the CV boot is torn and the tech didn't catch it (though i would be dumbfounded if he didn't because that shit is a grease that gets every fucking where) but i can't envision how anything else could do it.

Any kind of oil getting on the pads could cause the friction material to break down which is a bad thing if you are unaware of what is going on when you suddenly have to jam on the brakes and suddenly your pads disintegrate. but that's under extreme neglect

i wouldn't be surprised if it was just road grit and water. That can turn into a nasty looking, but harmless concoction.
