I knew this was coming, and it's the best decision driver decision mclaren made since signing alonso, although i wanted paffett to have a higher status maybe third driver, i think pedro should be thinking about retirement now.

LOL McLaren, there's some sort of bot which automatically changes A.lonso (without the dot obviously) into "that spanish foo" (no L in there), joke by 1 of the admins

they even changed dozens of words into gangsta slang one day (that was dat, man => homie etc etc, thankfully it only lasted 1 day )

Choosing Hamilton is a good option. Sticking with Pedro de la Rosa would have been a safe option, but a short-term option. I think it is a positive step to pick Hamilton - blooding a next-generation driver.

Hamilton has proven a massive talent in both GP2 and his karting days, very aggressive driver as you can see in that three a breast move in Silverstone.

De La Rosa put in some good performances but is a little passed his sell by date. I feel sorry for Paffett because of the amount of testing he has already put in and hes proven a lot in DTM.

Obviously his ethnicity is definetly a plus point for hiring him, it will open a whole new audience to F1. Its quite discraceful that we have not had a black driver in the sport, and this does show up its elitist roots.

However this shouldnt overshadow his immense talent. I dont think Dennis would pick him if he hasnt been setting benchmark laptimes in testing. Paired with his proven racecraft I cant wait!

Well, Fernando Alonso is part of your team next year, so you might want to be a bit nicer.
