my vote:
1. 997 gt3
2. LP640
3. 599 GTB
4. Corvette Z06
5. Loutus Elise S
Knowing Evo though they will probably put one of those shit box Euro "hot hatches" up there just to appease thier mainstream audience in the UK. Even with that said, Evo is still the greatest car mag out there. PERIOD. And Im an American so I pay out the ass for every issue!
I know we americans drive some rather embarrassing loads of shit (read Mustangs, SUV's and such) but come on!! What self respecting man is gonna be caught dead in a cute little fart box made for girls to go shopping in?!?! I never did get the old "hot hatch" thing. Sure you get space, economy, and a little performance for not much money......but god are they ugly, feminine, weak engined, front wheel drive little things that, for the most part, start to fall apart after 30,000 miles.

The Aston wont win - EVO have said many times how shit it is against its direct competition, the XKR would have more of a chance.

^Yeah, which is why I said it won't win. Still, I like the car.
I reckon the 997 GT3 will win. If not, the 599.

Anyway - the 599 have a serious chance too... with it's astonishing performance.
|
Since when performance was the definitive factor for ECOTY ?
The most complete car should win the prize.
One that could be used in a civilized cruise but that also could go fast around a track or on a twisty mountain road.
One that is involving, one in which you have some electronic gizmos but also by switching off those systems, becomes a car that challenges you push the limits beyond what you thought you`re capable.
To be honest the only one that has all this things
I`am pretty sure that it`s gonna be the 599, although there are a few biased editors for Porsche.
