Default Which cars got cheated or boosted? Top Gear Stig tests:

Aside from the first Lamborghini Murcielago time, what cars could have done a lot better if the conditions were more equal? Or which benefited too much from them?

I think the Zonda would still have the lap record if it was bone dry out, like I think it was for the XTR and Murcielago. I also think the Impreza got cheated.

Of course all cars got cheated by having those terrible climatic conditios that England have... 95% of all year.
Maybe the RWD and FWD were the cars most affected, and it's because the causes all we know.

That was my main complaint in the other post. the inconsistant track conditions between cars tested make the results incomparable. my second pseudo complaint is the way stig drives all sideways, that scrubs off alotta speed and throws off the lap times. but I love that show cuz it's so much fun to watch.

I like the BEST MOTORING vids that race the cars against each other. I think that's more comparable cuz the drivers seem (to me) to be truly evaluating cars against each other. but it's sorta dry, humorless, and not as much sideways driving.

For sure! They absolutely must run the Zonda in the dry!

well the second timing of the lambo was faster it beat the pagani, in the countach video..but I would have liked to see the Ford GT around the track and the slr...but I think the Porsche GT3 got cheated because of how wet it was ...even they said it was not a day for a rear engine rear drive car..

I 3rd that motion. retest the zonda in the dry. And while you're at it, TG, run the FORD GT and the Porsche CGT too. And the Enzo, dont forget the Enzo. and then add the 959 and F40 and F50 too. oh yeah, and the 962 and CLK-GTR & Porsche GT1 too, ok? thanx

Don't think that any manufacturer of 'supercars' will allow der Stig or Richard or Jazza to drive one of their cars to the max, TG style. Don't think that any private owner, unless he is a committed gumball participant, will allow it either.
So it is doomed to be a mission impossible I'm afraid

yeah,

TG blew it with that old jag in that respect. but they let tiff drive a million dollar McLaren F1 and then a million lb CLK-GTR, on icy roads EVEN !!! that's trust, that's confidence tiff wont wreck, that or tiff and they are very very well insured , hahaha.

I wonder how many cars BEST MOTORING has wrecked.

Porsche Turbo and GT3 were both done on wet tracks as were both tests of the Honda NSX.
The Honda S2000 shootout in the wet against the Z4 and Boxster was also not in favour of the S2000
