:( oh crap.. I need glasses..
Did a colorblindness test today (needed an authorization that I'm not, for a job interview on Sunday..) and the guy tells me I need glasses
now I had a feeling the last year and a half or so that I cant read from as far as I once could.. but this just sucks.. and to make it even worse I was never the kind of guy that glasses looks good one, even sunglasses never looked good on me (or at least I think so..)...
now I have to pick a frame and deal with all that crap.. this really blows..
He said I'll need the glasses for working on the computer, tv, lectures etc..
(and driving at night.. and thats not gonna happen.. I see just fine while driving.. its not like I'm busy reading little bumper stickers while driving or something like that.. :roll
if anyone know of a good looking frame let me know..
anyways.. this really sucks..

i dont know.. i dont think i want to put stuff in my eyes and take it out everyday.. had a friend that tried it.. took him hours to get it in.. he's eyes would get all red and scratchy.. he eventually gave up.. and got back to he's glasses..
maybe its just his experience that put me off.. maybe you have some better info for me i never really looked into anything in this "glasses" world.. so i really dont know much..

Its not the end of the world. I have a so-called lazy eye that causes a very small disortion when I have to read something in the distance. I couldn't read the traffic signs when I was driving so I went to the opticians, got myself a real nice modern frame and people say (especially girls ) that it looks good !

I'm pretty sure you gonna find some glasses that'll suit you; I also went through the hassle of wearing glasses and nowadays there are tons of different styles, colors ... And it's just for computers etc., not like you'd have to wear them constantly.

Yup, I think so. I wear contact lenses; it was difficult the first few days but then you get the technique and it becomes a lot easier, only takes me a few seconds to put them on every morning.
But you have to keep in mind that some people just can't because their eyes are too dry :bah:

^ send a pic of your glasses then
and because I don't have to wear them constantly i'm not really thinking about contact lenses.. seems to much of a hassle, and i still remember my friend couldn't take one out.. and it took him like over an hour! seems funny at the time.. ops:
I dont know why but i'm just bombed (not drunk.. the other one.. not sure if thats the way to spell it..) about it.. hope it will pass..

I've been wearing glasses for awhile and it's not inconvenient, although you can't play contact sports. I've never considered contacts.
You'll get used to them.

Yeah, they just have to match your facial structure. You don't have terrible eyesight, so pretty much all designs would be appropriate. If your eyesight is too bad, lenses get heavier, and the lighter frames would be too weak.

oakley has some nice prescription frames. i've had 2 and they're pretty much indestructible. i suggest getting a titanium pair as they're much lighter. plus u can say that u own some titanium

I wear glasses since i was 6 years old. In the beggining its really different and bad but after a while you get used to it.
For some that might be thinking why i dont use contact lenses is because i have a high degree in "astigmatism" (dont know if thats th name in english) and contact lenses don't support it. I will eventually do a surgery to correct the necessary for me to be able to wear contact lenses.
