Default Nurburgring: Autumn Action - Last VLN-Race

Hi peeps,

Last weekend turned out very well for me. It already started at Thursday afternoon. Last weekend it was the last VLN-race at the Nurburgring and that's why I deceided to go for the whole nine yards 8) I went to the Ring on Friday and Saterday. On Friday there were the "einstelfahrten" and on Saterday it was raceday as usual.

The Eifelmountains are stunning at this time of the year, to my mind it is by far the most beautiful season of all, although it also means you have to take an umbrella with you every now and then.
That's why I want to share a few nice Eifel landscapes as well, it's almost as looking at a beautiful painting

The weather was great on Friday, ideal to take nice pictures.
On the other hand, Saterday turned out to be grey, dark and we had to stand a shower every now and then.
But as far as I'm concerned, the pitures turn out to be ok

I deceided to try out my flash again, I'd only needed to use it once before. One of my goals was to try take pannings with the SB600. Boy oh boy, I just love the results ... I was amazed with the shots that rolled out of the camera.

Time for pictures instead of words

Friday

Saterday

The Land Motorsport Porsche won !!!

Introduction of Schubert new race toy: BMW Z4 (driven by Hans Joachim Stuck)

Schubert's 120d (driven by Johannes Stuck)

Hope you enjoyed them

Great stuff.. the flash worked out great in those conditions. I think that will be my next camera purchase.. I'll have to hold off for a new lens till I start working fulltime again.

Any chance for a high res version of the Z4M Coupe?

Maybe a little too much with the same perspective, but very nice!

@ all, Thanks for the replies !!!

Seems to me that most of you are fond of the crashed GT3 Cup and the Z4 . I have just putted those up on my server in a higher resolution.

Porka: http://users.pandora.be/jokke1/Photo...sche%20GT3.jpg

Z4: http://users.pandora.be/jokke1/Photo...20Schubert.jpg

As far as I can remember, the first two images are made in combination with the fill-in flash.

The driver's position in that Opel V8-star sure is extreme, he becomes the driver and the passenger at the same time A few races a go they introduced an Audi V8-Star and the driver was sitting in the same position. Unfortunetaly, I wasn't able to go due to some exams at work but I got rid of them ... finally

I will have to miss these races for the upcoming six months So, I need a replacement drug ... hope I can go to a rally which seems to be interesting as well.

Cheers

I'm using a Nikon D70 (firmware of a D70s), the lens I used back there is the 70-200mm VR f/2.8

Cheers
