The military didnt buy this, it was a contractor who bought this for the lowest possible price for his unit. unfortunately, obtaining tech support there is not possible so the only way to fix it is to get a new and better one which HP did once the video went out. It would have been replaced anyway but the video accelerated it.

I have always used EPSON products and never thought of getting an HP.

Nice video by the way, and charging to get support is just ridiculous.

no, dont work for HP. the officer in there doesnt know jack but to look up the 800 number on the printer for tech support. of course HP is gonna ask for money for help, unfortunately the soldier doesnt have it for his product.

here's wut happened:
1. printer is bought WITHOUT tech support or maintenance since its an expendable item in the field (lower price saving american taxpayer money)
2. soldier gets it but printer sucks/breaks.
3. soldier tries tech support but there is none and soldier gets understandably angry (in the meantime, request for new printer comes again)
4 video released to youtube.
5. HP brass see's video.
6. soldier gets new printer asap.
