Default The Black Pearl...Yarrrr

They are filming the new Pirates of the Caribbean down in the harbor where I live, Redondo Beach. So I met up with a friend and took a little boat ride to go check out the Black Pearl and the local wenches

that's a pretty sweet sighting!

@ZfrkS62 : I think I read somewhere that they took a break from filming the 3rd one for the premiere of the 2nd movie.

I dont know about the filming schedule but I do know they have been filming for the past week or so and will continue for some time longer. Depp was actually nice enough in the beginning to sign a bunch of autographs for people until too many people found out about it.

LOL @ the wenches. My gf was with me so it wasnt so easy to snap photos of them.

Cool Pictures. Thanks novass! 8)

Looks like a decent size boat they got there. Did they just modify an already built ship to suit their tastes? :bah:

Dude, dress up like a pirate and see if you can wander onto the boat!

If anyone questions thee, scream "YAARRR" at the top of thy lungs followed by a "blasted landlubber" then walk away mumbling something about scurvy.
Bring a friend to videotape this please.

Thought the Pearl was destroyed by the beast at the end of the 2nd film. Of course it would be back for the third, but it looks like brand new. Provokes thought about the possibilities of the plotline.

didn't you watch the bit when captain barbosa showed his face again? and the voodoo lady said something about rasing jack, and the Perl.

yeah, it was kinda hard to follow.

HAHA Ill see if I got the gear in my closet to make that work. The production is pretty massive as I am sure you could imagine. There are tons of support trailers/boats/crew/etc all over the place and the whole harbor has put up pirate stuff. It might not be that hard to slip through some gates, but alas, I fear having the walk the plank!

I forgot to mention that I think the ship is actually sailed as well. A friend of mine said on friday he saw the ship off the coast about a mile from where I saw it, not sure whether it was towed or sailed. It would be nice to take a cruise on that though.
