Default Sold my SL500 2003

It has been 2 weeks now since I sold it, but it all happened instantly

As I stopped at a petrol station, far from the city, where you don't expect to meet anyone. I saw a friend of mine since kindergarden, Marwan, as he asked me where SL (I was driving GTi golf) I told him thats I am thinking of selling it, not sure tho.

He instantly offered me a price, and asked to have it the next day for a test drive. He knows everything about the car from the day it was driven from the showroom Dec 29 2002.

So, The next day, he picked the car up, with a cheque in my hand, and I never saw the car again.

I honestly, don't feel that I missed a lot, but when I sold my BMW 540i I was sad for weeks. It was actually repaired after a very VERY bad accident, someone hit the car and ran away, while I was sick sleeping in bed @ 1:20 am. I will add some pic later of the accident.

Anyway, here is my SL500, parked next to my beautiful 98 BMW540.

(Sorry, I'm trying to find the pic)

So you have a cheque in hand after selling an $80,000 USD used car... care to donate something towards keeping the site going?

Maybe bid 100GB Pounds on the Walter Rohl shirt?

Sorry if I sound crass, but the one thig that pisses me off more than anything in life is people who gladly and often demonstrate wealth, yet do little to contribute.

Excuse me and thanks if you have and do regularly contibute/donate... shame on you if you don't.

/rant over

hehe! no problem. from time to time I am & I will. Thanks to Jabba for adding me in the member list. I really appreciate it. As long as I am using this site for good, and having nice people around. I will. Promise

But now, I would really donate to Lebanon, and support them for a while. May you can help too.

Maybe you can buy a M5 now? It should be wonderfull if you liked your 540. It think it's up to you if you want to donate to the site. I think it's very impolite what rc45 said. You can't expect someone to give money to a internetsite. It's not logical at all. Most sites don't. You should be happy you have viewers. You can't expect people you hardly know to give you money for some bits and bites. This site is for amusement. There are lots of caresites, none of them beg for money like this one. It's very shamefull !

Sadly - without a guarentee that money/effort sent to Lebanon will not get into the hands of hezbollah lebanon will not see a single penny of my money.

Israel on the other hand can count on it.

RC is right, but little too hard on ppl asking for donation

Freddie... stay around a bit more time, and you'll find out JW is not a simple "carsite" as the others on the net.

But now, I would really donate to Lebanon, and support them for a while. May you can help too.

Custom Pics or STFU!!
Just Kidding!!!!

Visit frequently since 2 years ago .... and only 16 post huh.....and u are lecturing ppl how not to persuade ppl to donate..... I see where your logic comes from.

There are many ways to show appreciation to a site / forum.
- Post useful input to threads, things u want to share...
- Help contribute your skills (photoshop, programming, moderating...)
- Contribute money
..etc

I don't see any but that Mr. Idontwanttobepushedtodonatebutliketotakeeverything forgrantedwithoutcontributing personality come from.

if you do so, I'm surprised to read a sentence saying " it's a carsite like many others on the net"
