Blitz supra at nordsleife setting their 1998 lap record
Here a video of the famous blitz supra that set the lap record for road legal cars in 1998 on the nordsleife the laptime is 7,49 min.

Wow, 7:49 in 1998 is already a road legal car record. We've come far on chassis, engine and tire technology.

Yes don't forget this car is from 1996 and in 1998 it's was still a fast car.
Of course the current cars set faster times but in 1998 7,49 round the ring is pretty fast.
I wonder what the supra would when you update the brakes chassis and tires and engine.
 .

Uhhh, did you even bother to read the title of this topic? There's a part that says 1998 lap record, incase you missed it. And as someone said, this was a 1996 car, and what year was the Murci released, 2002? 7:49 may seem slow now, but you have to look at the when the lap was set before making comments like that.

if you watch closely you see that they fit road legal tires on the car.
Never heard of that rumour.
