Default Female friend in Long Beach, CA looking for a Honda + satnav

My friend living in Cali is looking to buy a simple Civic coupe the thing is I'm here in the Philippines and have no idea where the great deals are. Her ZIP code is 90802 so if anyone can help pls do.

Also the dealers she has talked too told her not to get the satnav from Honda so if you know of any excellent 3rd party satnavs pls pitch in as well.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with the dealer situation, but I can regarding the Satnav. The Satnav for Acura(which I presume is going to be the same in the Honda) is rated as one of the best navigation systems currently available. It's deffinitly worth the extra 2k.

Check out http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/ and do a search for navigation.

How is satnav worth $2000 in an entry level car?

Is she a complete moron that she needs satnav to get a rond her home town?

satnav is a waste of money.

You only use it when out of town, and more often than not you fly to the destination and rent a car.

My friend will kill me if I told her to get a 2K satnav. One at costco goes for $600 and the OEM Honda goes for 1.7T

She's new in Long Beach & works as an interior designer which requires her to have a car to go to far flung work sites. She wouldnt be effective in her job if she didnt know how to get around in Southern California.

Thanks SilviaEvo will give those links to her.

I never knew the made the Civic in a coupe. The closest I can think of is the dodgy CR-X they produced in the early-mid 90s.

They've had civic coupes forever.

On the Navi side of things The Hondas only have a 3rd gen version of the Acura Navi so they are one gen behind the newest version that's if she buys the new body style if she got the last gen Honda she would have a 2nd gen version which starts with a menu and you have to go through 3 options just to get the map to pop up. not the best version, gen 3's are great though they have them on the current Acura's minus the RL and RDX.

She's looking for a cheap brand new car. Not an out of production supercar.
