Default Ferrari Testarossa Photoshoot!

Mmmmm.....what a classically sexy car this is!!! This is the first flat-12 I've had the pleasure of spending some time in and its something I won't forget quickly.

The sound this beast makes ($10K aftermarket exhaust) is just amazing, and with the engine right behind you there is never a dull moment on the road. When the owner was blipping the throttle on downshifts I think everyone within 1km turned to have a look....brilliant!

Not as fast as many of the cars I've been in but it somehow feels faster than the numbers suggest. Its not a comfortable thing to sit in (not as bad as the Countach was though ), my legs were very cramped and not much head room either....but who cares! :bah:

In the next week or so I'll be spending some time with one of his other cars - 600hp in a 1100kg body! He says he has never experienced something as scary as that RWD monster......can't wait to shit myself.

All 28 high-res pics can be viewed on my website  www.ozcarsightings.com

This shot is taken infront of the building the owner used to go to at university....kinda fitting IMO.

No time for more panning shots - so only this one when he was leaving with a pole in the way. ops:

upgraded Brembos really fill out the wheels!

Wow, absolutely great pictures Dingo! Those with the sea in the background are sensational. One of them has to go to the next Pic of the Month Contest.

What a lovely car, sadly a very rare sighting and hearing! I only know the sound of the standard testarossa but i would be great to hear this machine!!!

Thx

Beautiful I like those polished wheels, most of the time Testarossa's have simple aluminium like wheels wich doesnt look very good.

Thanx Dingo

I guess you dont have a small and tiny video, dont you?

Nice car - looks like he has the first generation TR with the single mirror and single spline wheels and added another mirror afterwards.

Superb pics as always.

About the car being cramped - I read that the TR is pretty roomy. How tall are you?

The first owner (in the UK) added the second "high-rise" mirror.

I'm only 1.8m (~6ft) so not excessively tall, but I do have long legs and they didn't have room to stretch out. No idea if there is any difference inside on UK-spec cars.

A dream machine !! Much more sexy than the 550 and 599 IMO
The pics are really nice even if there is too much shadow in some of them for my taste
Just a note on the rearview mirrors and wheels : the single wheelnut suggest that it's a pre-1988 Testarossa because it changes for a 5 nuts wheels in 1988, so it should have only one rearview mirror at this height, the second version (with 5 nuts/wheel) had 2 rearview mirrors but on a lower place. So I suppose that the owner added one from a right-drive version, isn't it ?

The upgraded brakes are certainly a must have now

BTW, what is this 600 bhp / 1100 kg beast you will try next week ????

Thanks very much dingo, a nice Photoshoot again

Very good once again! Everytime you try youself at a photoshoot I wonder if the pics I am seeing aren't probably the best ones of the given car on the net.
Of course I am bloody lazy to browse my archives but can't recall better Testa pics :good: major thumbs up dude! Well done and thanks for sharing!

I really like the wheel/brakes combo!

Wondering about the 600 bhp/1100kg car

If it is a stock car then it could be a McLaren F1. If it isnt stock it could be a race-spec 911 GT2 or a V8 touring car - Holden?

All in good time I suppose
