Thunderhill Again 5/26/06
Took the RSA out to Thunderhill for another track day. This time with Trackmasters Racing. It was a good time.

I had a few shots of the track action, but they came out all blurry.
I still want to get a digital camera with a lipstick camera also...that would be cool.
I got a ride in a E30 M3 that was recently built as a Gruppe A replica:

This sucker was SOOOOO fast! Toyo Proxie RA-1 tires and I dunno how much horsepower. We passed EVERYONE. The only cars that passed him were the mini stock cars prepping for this weekend's race. But all the regular cars were no match for this M3. It was amazing! 360 Challenge Stradale...nothing...
M Power!

Thanks for the pics. Are them available bigger than 800 pixels?
Also, be more carefull when framing quite often the front, back or both parts of the car aren't in the pic

Yeah, let me re-load them in full pixel. I must have chosen the wrong option and chose the option to reduce the resolution for faster ULoad.
I'll try a little harder next time. Usually, I will shoot from a lower angle also, but yesterday, I was in such a rush because a lot was going on and I couldn't find my student. You're so demanding! hahaha

I sympathise with you totally ... here I am taking a few pics just to see the cars and such - casual shooting if you know what I mean. And then I get the "angry mother-in-law" routine from TT --> wrong focus, blurry image, move the frame, .... Makes me nervous to open my topic later to see how badly I did. Kinda like anxiously waiting for a school report card when you know you haven't done well and expecting to get a rap on the knuckles from an irate dad....
Darth Vader TT scares the shit out of me .... Naah TT we love you!!!

Oh nice. I haven't been to THill in ages. How was the weather. I was at Buttonwillow last weekend with my car and it was damn hot on the first day. Thanks for the pics.
PS what is the "RSA"

The weather was great. I think we were in the high 70s to low 80s. I haven't been to Button in a long time. I wouldn't mind going back, but it's a 4 hour drive from Sacramento (one way), which Thill is only 1.5 hours. =)
RSA is the model of the 911 I have...RS America.

People tape up the front lights in the hopes that if the car in front kicks up debris, it will not break the lense. I purchased some headlight rockguards, which is a clear 3M film that sticks over the headlights, so I don't tape mine anymore. Some people tape their flares and wheel arches with hopes that it will stop rock chips as well. All you can do is hope.
