 this looks very interesting!
From the headlights I could see Porsche Carrera GT, Murcielago, and Ford GT. Hopefully all the exotic brands will be in this version.
Thanks for the info vexor.

I think this version will be like underground with exotics. Moding exotics would be great idea. But still my favourite NFS is Prsche Unleashed. Ferrari/Lamborghini/Maserati/BMW Unleashed would be better any arcade moding care races.

^^^^ I agree but i don't want another tuner game. I really want the next hot pursuit. Just pure cop chases in daylight with the fastest exotics. Enzo, CGT, SLR, F1, CCR etc if this game has some of the new supercool supercars than it will be worth buying.

Tuning sucks, especially the patent of "visual tuning to gain respect" BS.

^^ yep .. jjust like in the NFS 3 ... ther should be 3 different classes .... the only option should be tuning the suspention the aero setting like different wings .. and tyre setups e.g slicks or hard compound etc etc

OK.
SO how is is that EA manages to get all the manufacturers the let them license the cars and crash them, paint them, decal them, bodykit them and genereally abuse the image, likeness, presence and overall theme of the cars.
Yet...
All these other game makers all claim "we have no damage because the license holders won't let us" or "we have no bodykits because the manufacturers wont let us" or "we have no painting because the manufacturers wont let us" or "we cannot have races vs those cars because manufacturers wont let us" or "we cant do any of the above because the licenses are too much" etc etc etc etc and some other tripe stories.
Yet crap movies like FF series and "certain" game makers manage to turn out licensed trash year after year after year.
It would seem someone is bullshitting the buying community.

^^^ basically EA are so rich, they can afford to make these deals. Also movie production cost easily cover such things. Well im not 100% sure, but I think its something like that.

^^ But Microsoft has more petty cash than EA has had income since they were founded... yet PGR/2/3 and Forza among others have al ben plagued with the same excuse to varying degrees.
I think more than half of the license woe stories are bullshit is what it really is - it just became fashionable to use it these days

New NFS Carbon mag scans

- NFS-Planet
Also some new info on the game
Some new details about the next entry in the Need for Speed series have popped up. First off, the game will be appearing on the Wii and DS, poor little GBA left out this time. The game appears to be a mix of Need for Speed: Underground and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. You will still have the ability to customize your car, known as “pimping your ride” to the younger generation. The police chases make a return, and you will find yourself on narrow roads, and deep within canyons trying to avoid capture. Apparently there will be a a driving crew of some sort, each with different talents related to cars (such as tuning). The opponents you race against will also feature certain characteristics, for example, some people may try to ram your car off the road, while a drafter will ride behind you to catch your draft. The game is called Carbon because it takes place in Carbon Canyon, a popular place in California for motorheads to meet. Finally, there will be anywhere from 50-100 vehicles, with Porsche being included this time around.
